Rishikesh can broadly be divided into 2 parts the Tapovan Side and the Laxman Jhula Side. While the Tapovan side is significantly bigger it is also much more commercialized -with hotels/hostels/stays and food joints at every corner. The Laxman Jhula side though much smaller has a much more Quaint-Magical Vibe with many older temples.

Rishikesh is divided into 3 parts of which Alcohol & Non-Veg cannot be consumed in one of the parts but can be consumed in the other 2. Talk to the hostel/property for more details

The main tourist areas of Rishikesh Tapovan and Laxman Jhula are about 1 hour away from the Interstate Bus Stand (Nepali Farms) and half an hour away from the main railway station
