Young Monks Hostel Dharamshala (Not accepting bookings)

On the day I stayed, there were a lot of young people, and TikTok and music were playing loudly in the common areas in the morning and evening, making it difficult to relax. I wanted to enjoy a quiet breakfast and the beautiful view, but the noise was so bad that I had to go to a different restaurant the next day. There were also many noisy guests in the dormitory, so I think whether you enjoy it or not is down to luck.

Had an amazing stay at Young Monk hostel. The place is calm, clean, and surrounded by beautiful views. The staff was extremely supportive and made the stay feel warm and comfortable. The music night with live jamming was a beautiful bonus and created unforgettable vibes.

The hostel is well situated in a quiet area with a great view. Beds are very comfortable and rooms are clean. But most of all a big thank to Anu the property manager. He is an excellent host and creates great vibe that really feels like a family. Incredibly humble and helpful. Thank you so much Anu!

For me this property and the staff there became like a home for me. ...Everything is unique and you’ll feel all those warm and positive energies there for sure. The rooms and the facilities are excellent … there is actually no better place in upper dharamkot for the best view and good food surrounded with nice people and energies. Last but not the least .. the host #Anirudh Singh (Banna) he is gem person.

I booked this hostel because i had high expectations from the name and service from other young monk hostels however my experience was beyond pathetic. The manager there was not welcoming at all, it was way too cold so we asked for extra quilt which he clearly denied, i would have taken it at extra charge but he did not give it, then the 4th person in our dorm was a girl who took our quilt because she was not feeling well, so we asked the care taker to give one to us since there wasnt even single quilt but instead of giving us that he literally pulled the quilt from that girl, she was sleeping and he pulled it without waking her up which i feel is quite pathetic and disappointing. Moreover, we asked for assistance related to parking, upgrading the rooms-none was given. Also, if you are booking their 4 bed dorm with the idea that you 4 people would have 1 washroom, please dont. They have a single washroom for 2 dorms which means it is shared by 8 people and that too is outside the dorm which is not clear on their website or anywhere. Instead they have attached washroom in 6 bed dorm, so we were fooled. Overall the experience was not at all good and I wouldn’t ever like to suggest this hostel to any one.
