I had a look at a few properties around the area but the reason I choose this hostel was because of Jethin he's so warm and welcoming and professional. He'll do anything to make your stay comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay here and met some great people also. They also have a kitchen area which I made good use of and plenty of space to meet others. I was also able to do my own workouts on the roof. They have mats you can use and they even host events here. Jethin is a credit to the team and I hope he's successful in his next ventures.
Stayed here a couple of times, and it has been a great experience every time. The place is clean, surrounded by nature, and has a wonderful atmosphere. The location is excellent, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Highly recommended!
Unearth hostel was very clean and friendly. The moment I checked in they told me how to navigate Auroville. I made friends even though I unfortunately only was able to stay two nights. Would definitely have extended my stay if I had time. It’s a great place to start your journey into Auroville or to just stay for a few nights and hang out. Highly recommended!!
My stay here was super pleasant! Beautiful animals and staff reside here. Yoga sessions with contribution on the roof and inside were so excellent and the best way to start the day!! Clean and comfortable place to rest. Dear management: I would suggest a WiFi booster for stronger signal in the rooms please!
Popular with young indian tourists who want to get away from their restricted conservative home and experience some alcohol and drugs. There are signs in the hostel saying drugs, alcohol and smoking are not allowed. But it is. The staff are great. I wouldn't recommend it to non-Indians unless you are cool with a slightly dark party and drugs vibe. The roads in the area are very dusty polluted and dangerous to pedestrians. The area around matrimandir and auroville is not the cool hippy place it's made out to be. The kitchen is a filthy nightmare. But you might be ok with all the above.
