Honestly, this was my first experience of staying in a hostel, so I don’t really have a benchmark to compare it with. That said, I can confidently say you won’t find anything to complain about when it comes to cleanliness, comfort, hospitality, or the rooms—they have everything you need. The hostel also has a rooftop café with a beautiful view of the lake, along with a few interesting games to enjoy. I came in hoping to make new friends, and that expectation was completely fulfilled. Kashish and Mahen, along with a few others, made the experience even more memorable. Although it was a solo trip, it never felt like one because of their friendly nature and their willingness to help whenever I needed guidance. In short, it’s a fantastic place for solo travelers and photographers. Go for it without a second thought—you won’t regret your decision.
Tamasha Hostel made my Udaipur trip truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, Mahen and Misbah bhai at the reception treated us like old friends — super friendly, genuine, and always ready to help. He guided us with everything — from local sightseeing to hidden food spots — and made sure we had the best experience possible. The hostel has such a positive and chill vibe. The rooms are clean and cozy, but the real highlight is the rooftop view! 😍 Watching the Udaipur sunset from there was absolutely magical — music, laughter, and an amazing atmosphere all around. If you’re visiting Udaipur and looking for a friendly, fun, and peaceful place to stay, Tamasha Hostel is definitely the one! ❤️
We really enjoyed our stay at this hostel. We extended it from one to three nights. The staff was really nice and the rooms how you can expect it for the price. Also the view from the roof top is quite nice! The only negative was the noise during a night from the roof top. There are rules about being silent after 11 pm but it was not looked after it from the hostel side.
Tamsha Hostel truly feels like a home away from home! 🏡 Rooms are clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The environment is peaceful and safe — perfect for both study and relaxation. Special thanks to Mhenbhaii for always being so supportive and helping everyone with a smile, and to Misba, who manages everything so perfectly and makes sure every student feels comfortable. The hosts at Tamasha Udaipur were kind and helpful, but unfortunately the overall hostel experience was pathetic. Cleanliness and hygiene were completely missing. The taps were leaking, the washroom door wouldn’t even close properly someone literally had to stand outside while it was being used. The rooms were extremely disappointing. The bed was stinking, the blanket was clearly not clean, and when we asked the helper if the blankets were washed, she said she didn’t know. Even worse, my friend was given the same blanket that the previous guest had used. The common waiting area with the “view” was also dirty, dusty, and full of ants. The rooms were tiny and nothing like the panorama-style photos shown on Hostelworld. Overall, a very poor and uncomfortable stay despite the good hosts. Would not recommend.
