Booked Tamasha Hostel for the Christmas weekend and paid 50% advance. We reached the hostel around 11 AM, and they informed us that check-in was at 1 PM, so we safely kept our luggage there and went out. When we returned around 4 PM, we were shockingly told that the dorms were already full, and only one dorm bed was available, despite our confirmed booking. Instead, they forced us to take a small private room that can barely accommodate 3 people, while we were 4 guests. After multiple arguments they provided us with extra small mattress. The owner, Elivia, was extremely rude, unprofessional, and showed zero accountability for the booking. There was no apology or proper explanation—just a careless attitude toward guests. Since it was peak season, we had no other option and had already paid the advance, so we stayed unwillingly. To make matters worse, the very next day there was no water supply in the hostel, not even for basic washroom use. After waiting for hours, we were given just one bucket of water, with volunteers trying their best to help. Overall, poor guest handling and extremely unprofessional management. ❌ Would NOT recommend
I recently stayed at Tamasha Hostel, and all I can say is that it was amazing! One thing that stood out was that you can expect the most unexpected things to happen. Beyond the vibe, I'd say it's a must-stay if you love to socialize. The people at the hostel are super friendly and amazing. On my first day, Ayushi and Elivia took me and my friends to a fashion show, and the tickets were on them ! Kudos to Elivia for bringing together a fun bunch, including Ayushi, Ansh, Rohit, and making them work as a team.
There is rarely any space to walk inside the dorms. Their AC does not even work. There is not even a ceiling fan. Stayed in a 6bed dorm, it was not properly maintained. Doubt if they even wash blankets before check in. It was not cleaned well. There is a staircase to go to dorms, be prepared if you have a heavy luggage with you. Overall Vibe is totally DEAD. You’ll end up paying more compared to what you get. There are great hostels nearby, would prefer them.
Do not let the old reviews or photos fool you. I stayed here last November when they were starting out and had a good experience, but my recent return trip with a friend was a disaster. We were forced to wait 2 hours for our room. There is no professional host on-site; the place seems to be run by volunteers who live there. Despite having already paid in full, a female host harassed us for payment again. To make matters worse, there was no water in the bathroom the next morning. I tried calling every available contact number, but no one answered. We had to wait three hours just to get a single bucket of water so we could leave. Total disappointment and a waste of money.
So today is the time to leave this place after half of months... Really, This place not just a hostel, it became a home for me. ✨ Especially I want to share you about the host she is such a lovely Person with her pure love & emotion ❤️. Her kindness, energy, and care made these days unforgettable — I truly felt like family. 🏡 Leaving this place is not easy because my heart wants to stay. If you ever want to experience a place full of warmth, connection, and happiness — this is where you should be." 🌸🙏 Tamasha is not just a place — it is a feeling. These days touched my soul in a way words can never explain I leave with gratitude, with memories, and with a piece of my heart still here." ✨🙏
