Shalom Backpackers Hostel Mussoorie

Had a really good stay at Hotel Salom Backpackers. The best part was the staff – they genuinely helped us throughout the trip, guided us about places to visit and made everything very easy for us. Their behaviour was very friendly and supportive. Service was excellent and quick. Rooms were comfortable and the vibe of the place is nice, perfect for a friends trip. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it for a budget stay in Mussoorie.

This is my second stay, and believe me when I tell you, this is one of the most underrated dormitories in Mussoorie. First, the location is unbeatable. It’s right on Mall Road, with just a minimal walk from the Picture Palace bus stand. You’re close to everything, yet it still feels peaceful enough to relax. Second, the desk staff deserves a special mention....Sam bhai, to be specific. He’s genuinely sweet, well-spoken, and always ready to help. From guiding you around to making sure you’re comfortable, he handles everything with warmth and ease. Third (and honestly, my favorite part), the café. The food is surprisingly tasty and very affordable, something that’s rare on Mall Road. Most nearby restaurants are overpriced, and none of them offer the stunning 360° view this place does. Eating here while soaking in the scenery is an experience in itself. Overall, this dorm feels less like a stay and more like a place you want to come back to, which is exactly why I did. Highly recommended for solo travelers and anyone looking for value, views, and good vibes.

Highly recommended!! I recently had the opportunity to travel to Mussoorie with my family. I had a wonderful and comfortable stay with Shalom Backpakers. The room was excellent. The doarmatery room we stayed in was immaculate and well-maintained.Both the dining workers and the front desk staff were excellent. Additionally, the location and café on the upper floor are fantastic. The cafeteria offers a captivating perspective. The cuisine is delicious. You order khichdi, thali, or rajma chawal.Everything tastes delicious, regardless of your preference.

My stay at **Shalom Backpacker, Shimla** was truly memorable. I stayed for two days, and everything—from staff behavior to food—was perfect. **Ramesh ji** is a wonderful person—very polite, calm, and knowledgeable. He made us feel welcome and helped us whenever needed. The **food deserves a special mention**. I had breakfast and dinner at their restaurant for both days, and the taste was amazing—just like homemade food. A big thank you to **Mr. Dharam Pal ji (Head Chef)** and **Jiya Laal ji** for cooking such delicious meals with love and care. Their cooking skills are excellent. I also want to thank **Ravi Thakur**, who is very supportive and friendly. I really liked his nature and helpful attitude. Overall, **Shalom Backpacker is one of the best hotels in Shimla**. Heartfelt thanks to all staff members, chefs, and the management team. I would definitely love to stay here again.
