Stayed here during my holidays and had a really pleasant experience. The hostel was clean, well-maintained, and felt safe throughout the stay. Rooms were comfortable, and the common areas were perfect for relaxing with small bonfire in the evening. Staffs were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. The location was convenient for sightseeing and local travel. Overall, a peaceful and budget-friendly place—would definitely recommend for a stay.
It was a lovely experience staying here. It elevates the feeling of a hostel by adding a great view and aesthetics to it. The rooms were nice and warm. The food was great. The atmosphere felt very warm and welcoming. The staff members were quite friendly and helpful. The bonfire experience in the evening was quite wholesome which offered interaction with other fellow travellers, everyone sharing their experiences and anecdotes. What else could you ask for?? It is a highly recommended place for group travellers for a wholesome experience.
My stay at Safar Hostel was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I came all the way from Kochi after a long flight, feeling tired — but the moment I reached the hostel, everything changed. The room was clean, cozy, and had an amazing mountain view that instantly made me relax. Being a solo traveler, I was a bit unsure at first, but I ended up enjoying every single moment here. A special thanks to our host, Ali. He is extremely welcoming and took great care of me throughout my stay. Despite me being hearing-impaired, he kept checking on me and updating me about the plans for the day. I never felt any difficulty or discomfort — that meant a lot to me. The trek to Jogini Waterfalls was one hell of an adventure — tough but absolutely worth it! An unforgettable experience. Food was another highlight. Ronny bhai, the chef, made sure we got our meals on time every day, and everything was delicious. And I can’t forget Sky 🐕 — the hostel dog — super sweet and friendly, always lifting everyone’s mood. Special mention to Aryan as well, who took me for sightseeing. He’s a very kind-hearted and friendly person, and I really enjoyed exploring with him. Everything was perfectly arranged by Host Ali and the Safar team. Truly, no words are enough to describe how beautiful this experience was. Whenever you stay here, you feel at home — so comfortable that you don’t even feel like leaving. I’m leaving with unforgettable memories and a very happy heart. Hopefully, I’ll visit again soon to explore more of Manali. Highly recommended for solo travelers and anyone looking for a homely vibe in the mountains!

Whether you’re sipping chai on the terrace, swapping travel stories by the bonfire, or just soaking in the mountain air, Safar makes you feel right at home. It’s the kind of place that makes you stay longer than you planned. Warm smiles, helping hands, and homely vibes the Safar Hostel team makes you feel like family. 💛🏔️
This was my third trip to Manali, and I can surely say this is one of the best and budget-friendly stays I've had. The location is about 3km from the bus stand, but it's well worth it. The owner and staff are very hospitable and welcoming. The food here is so good and homecooked; it feels like you are eating high-quality, and hygienic food. We loved it so much that we even came back for dinner after we checked out, just for the taste and quality!
