Moustache Varanasi

Had a really good 2-day stay at Moustache Hostel, Varanasi. The overall vibe of the place is super chill and perfect for travelers looking to relax and meet new people. The management is well-organized, and everything from check-in to daily arrangements was handled smoothly. The common areas are lively, and the atmosphere makes it easy to connect with fellow travelers. A special thanks to Yash (manager/owner) for being extremely helpful and welcoming—he really made the stay more comfortable and memorable. That said, there are a few small things that could be improved. There were quite a few mosquitoes around, especially in the evening, so carrying repellent helps. Also, the French fries I ordered were a bit too spicy for my liking when I was just trying to chill. The washroom cleanliness could be slightly better maintained as well. Apart from these minor issues, everything else was properly managed and enjoyable. Overall, it’s a great place to stay in Varanasi if you’re looking for a fun, social, and budget-friendly experience

I had a mixed experience at this stay. One major issue was that there was no proper board or sign outside the building, which made it very difficult and unsafe to locate, especially since I arrived at night. It took quite a bit of time to find the place. Another problem was the frequent power cuts. During the summer heat, staying inside the room without electricity became quite uncomfortable. Proper backup arrangements would really help improve the guest experience. The washroom instructions were also not communicated clearly. I was confused at night and only discovered the next morning that the washroom was located outside in the balcony area. This should definitely be informed to guests beforehand to avoid inconvenience. On the positive side, the common area was nice and well maintained, with snacks and drinks available, which was a thoughtful addition. Also, the payment process was smooth and hassle-free. Overall, the stay has some decent facilities, but better signage, clear instructions, and improved power management are needed for a more comfortable experience.

Had a wonderful stay at Moustache Hostel Varanasi! The place has a very cozy and vibrant atmosphere with clean rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. The hostel is well maintained and perfect for travelers looking to explore the spiritual vibes of Varanasi. The rooftop view and common area create a great space to relax and meet new people. Service was smooth, and the location is convenient for visiting nearby ghats and attractions. Highly recommended for budget travelers and backpackers! ✨🏨

Stayed at Moustache Hostel recently. Overall, the place is good — nice vibe, decent rooms, and a solid option if you’re in Banaras. However, I had a frustrating experience with the staff. I requested the dorm AC to be turned on, and initially, I was told it would be done after cleaning, which was fair. But even after waiting, I noticed the staff cleaning the common area instead of the dorm. When I asked again, I got the same response. It ended up taking around 45 minutes just to turn on the AC, which felt unnecessary and poorly managed. The delay and lack of prioritization were honestly quite frustrating. Overall, a good stay in terms of the place itself, but the service definitely needs improvement.

I had heard about the Moustache hostels and decided to give it a try in my trip to Varanasi. It was totally worth it. The staff was extremely kind, respectful and helpful with any inquire I came up with, the location was more than convinient being less than 10 minute walk to Assi Ghat and the travelers I met overthere became good friends and companions to explore the city. The hostel also gave these city tours under Yash’ watch that were really informative and fun. I recommend this place for anyone who is going to Varanasi. Thank you Yash, Suní and the rest of the staff.
