The property is located very close to Assi Ghat, and the rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff are also very good and take care of the property nicely. Overall, the stay was pleasant. However, the main issue is with the washrooms. Around 20 guests are accommodated on one floor, and there are 3 washrooms, which are also used by people visiting the cafeteria on the same floor. Because of this, the washrooms require frequent cleaning, but this is not happening regularly, and they often remain messy. Apart from the washroom issue, the property is very good. Hot water is available, but it is only mildly hot and not very hot.
Positives:😁 1.Best stay for backpackers. 2.Affordable rates. 3.Good for solo travellers. 4.Lockers were provided to the guests which is good but also your things will be safe not to worry much! 5. Good place for workations. PS: I personally have left my phone chargers wallet and some cash as well as is on bed and those were not even flinched it was as is till I returned to my bed! That's the discipline this place holds. Also kuch drawbacks bhi hei 😖 kaash inko suggestions jaise lelo complaints nahi.... 1.Work on providing hot water for showers properly all time I was there for 3 complete days but not even one day got hot water for bathing. 2. Provide proper blankets to all. Please stock things uniform like matching spread pillow and sheets which will enhance your look also gives the sense of luxury. The one which was given to me was not that good in condition also it was not warm enough for that temperature of banaras during winters 3. Regarding your cafe it's fantastic food was amazing but I literally want you guys to work on pricing and quantity balance.... This requires utmost care I would say. Because few food I been served in abundance for min pricing and few were not even close enough in quantity for the price. So this will create a bad impression because you reach people heart via food it's the easiest also the difficult path so better work on it. 4. And a personal request is that try hosting a quick intro session during evening chai time let whoever in hostel interested let them join. I request this because I'm a super introvert until someone initiates the convo so this step will help people like me to socialize and also will be like a cherry on top of the cake for your hostel hospitality it's a win win for both of us😉 That's all for now baad mei likhuga haath mei dard hora hei! ☹️ Haan bhul gaya - hamara hero saab Sunil ko achi rating dethi hu hame kyun ki inko patha hei kaise customers ko handle karna aur kaise things ko ufi karna like if you cannot do it or its not possible change the mood make customer forget what they asked for and live comfortably with what they were given.... One of the Best Hostel Experiences I’ve Had! Staying at Mustache Hostel was an absolute highlight of my trip. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was unmatched—warm, welcoming, and full of positive energy. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable, whether you’re a solo traveler or with friends. The hospitality deserves special mention. The staff are genuinely friendly, helpful, and always smiling. They go out of their way to make sure everyone feels at home, from local tips and recommendations to creating a fun and inclusive atmosphere. The common areas are lively and well-designed, perfect for meeting fellow travelers, having meaningful conversations, or just chilling after a long day. The crowd here is amazing—social, respectful, and full of good vibes, which makes the experience even better. Rooms and facilities are clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully organized, showing how much care goes into running this place. If you’re looking for more than just a place to sleep—somewhere with great energy, amazing people, and true hostel culture—Mustache Hostel is the place to be. Highly recommended, and I would definitely stay here again!
This hostel is an excellent choice, especially for first-time hostel travelers. Despite arriving early at 9:00 AM well before the 12:30 PM check-in the team welcomed us warmly and invited us to relax in their café. The food is genuinely good and very affordable. The staff is consistently friendly, professional, and helpful. The rooms come with large cabinet-style locker spacious enough for two suitcases and a bag. Just remember to carry your own lock, or purchase one on-site for ₹50. Common washrooms are clean and functional; guests should bring their own toiletries. Overall, the stay exceeded expectations. The rooms and beds were clean, the atmosphere was great, and the service was exceptional. Special thanks to Yash and his team for their support, and to Bheem as well, who truly goes above and beyond for everything you’ll require Highly recommended, if I’m coming back.. I will definitely crash here for suree!
I found home right in the heart of Banaras and that's Moustache Hostel in Varanasi. Located very very near to Assi Ghat this beautiful hostel offers not only an affordable stay option but variety of food served with love! I bet you wouldn't feel homesick once you're here as the people, the walls, the food, the bed, all of it makes you feel right at home! . Moustache was one integral part of my solo trip here in Varanasi, leaving me heartbroken to leave the best people like Bheem bhai, Yash, Sunil, Shubhodeep, Roshan & Abdul bhai and the lovely people I met here! So definitely go ahead and book your stay here as soon as possible!
