I stayed at Moustache Hostel, Udaipur for 22 days and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The entire experience was seamless—super comfortable stay, clean and hygienic rooms, and a warm, welcoming ambiance.
The staff and service were excellent throughout. From 24/7 reception support to daily room cleaning and guidance on local spots, everything was handled with care and professionalism. Safety is clearly a priority here, with proper CCTV monitoring and secure surroundings, which gave me full peace of mind during my stay.
The common area is a great space to unwind—plenty of seating, games, and good company. The location is ideal too, with all essentials and tourist spots nearby.
Grateful for the hospitality and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting Udaipur for short or long stays!
We chose Moustache for our entire Rajasthan trip, and it was a great experience overall. In Udaipur, we stayed at both the luxury and hostel sections the AC dorm was clean, had good privacy with curtains, and the breakfast was tasty. The staff were very polite and helpful.
The rooftop is one of the most beautiful in Udaipur front side you get a lovely lake view, and from the back side, you can see the palace beautifully lit up at night. The vibe up there is really peaceful.We also visited their Moustache Varahtha the pool and cafeteria there were very nice, definitely one of the highlights of our Udaipur trip.
At first, many might wonder why there’s no car parking nearby but that’s actually the beauty of this place. On the other side of the bridge, it feels like a different world. No cars are allowed at night, making it a pollution free, peaceful zone. No honking, no noise just calm surroundings, perfect for relaxing and unwinding

Had an amazing stay at Moustache Hostel, Udaipur in July 2025! The rooms were clean, the vibe was chill, and the rooftop café had such a pretty view with great food. But what really made the stay special was the hospitality ,the staff were genuinely warm and welcoming. The front desk team went out of their way to help us with local spots, rentals, and anything we needed. Felt really taken care of. Would totally come back!
There are a lot of things that could be improved here. I stayed for five nights and observed numerous problems. For example, the quality of the handwash in the dorm washrooms was very poor, while it was good in the private rooms; I'm unsure why there's a difference. In the non-AC dorms, there were termites (deemak), broken toilet seats, and broken jet sprays stand. Additionally, there were no exhaust fans in the washrooms.
One particularly bad experience was their strict check-in policy. They don't allow guests to check in before 1 PM, and this was communicated in a very rude way. Even though rooms were clearly available, they insisted guests wait until 1 PM, leading to people waiting for two to four hours.
A word of advice to anyone who is claustrophobic: please do not book this stay. There is very little ventilation in the dorms and no ventilation at all in the budget rooms.
Some good points were the morning breakfast, which was offered at a nice price, and the rooftop cafe, which has a beautiful view from the top of the property
They also have good staff, and thanks to Pritam, who was very good with the guests.
