Oh my God — the view alone makes Moustach Koksar worth every penny. The property is stunning, thoughtfully designed, and perfectly placed to soak in the raw beauty of the mountains. But what truly sets this place apart is the people. When you are travelling and you find a stay that genuinely feels like home, the experience shifts from good to unforgettable. Vikrant, Danish, Rawat, and the entire housekeeping team went above and beyond in ways that cannot be captured in just one review. Their warmth, care, and hospitality made all the difference. The location is another big advantage — close to both Koksar and Sissu, and very near the North Portal of the Atal Tunnel, making it extremely easy to access and travel through, even in challenging mountain conditions. If you are heading to Spiti Valley and looking for a place with great food, beautiful ambience, and exceptionally hospitable staff, Moustach Koksar is hands down the place to stay. This is not just accommodation — it is an experience that elevates your entire journey.
The stay was amazing, the people were really accommodating and nice. We had a nice camp fire in the night. The views are phenomenal. The food was very good. They have electric blankets to fight the cold. The stay is clean. The stay is close to atal tunnel. Due to the location, there won’t be wifi and signal is good for calls and text messages but not for working. So prepare accordingly when you book the stay.
Stunning property located just a short drive from the Atal Tunnel! The location is the biggest selling point—you are surrounded by snow-capped mountains and the river, with barely any other buildings in sight. Highlights: The View: Absolutely mesmerizing. Waking up to the mountain view from the room is an experience in itself. Great spot for stargazing at night. Rooms: The private rooms/cottages are cozy and well-insulated. The electric blankets were a lifesaver during the cold night. Food: The in-house cafe serves decent food. It’s comforting to have hot meals available right there since there aren't many other options immediately nearby. Vibe: Very social and friendly atmosphere. The staff is helpful and creates a welcoming environment.
