I booked a private room at Moustache Khajuraho, and I honestly can’t stop myself from appreciating the outstanding service here. From the moment I checked in, the staff were extremely helpful, proactive, and always ready to guide me on how to explore Khajuraho better. They even upgraded my room, which was a very pleasant surprise, and offered complimentary tea, making the stay feel extra welcoming. Despite the very affordable room prices, the quality of service is truly top-notch and comparable to much more expensive places. The hostel also has a good parking facility, which is a big plus if you’re traveling by car. The location is perfect — just about 1.5 km from the main Khajuraho temple complex, making sightseeing very convenient. Overall, an excellent experience with warm hospitality, great service, and superb value for money. I would highly recommend Moustache Khajuraho to anyone visiting the city.
As a solo traveler and photographer, I’m always drawn to places that feel like home even when you’re far away—and Moustache truly gave me that feeling. From the moment I arrived, there was a sense of warmth, comfort, and ease that made settling into a new city effortless. The food deserves a special mention—everything is freshly cooked with care, never old or reheated. Waking up to puri bhaji, sipping adrak wali chai, and tasting the local Bundeli chutney felt like being welcomed into a home rather than staying at a hostel. These are absolute must-tries. What really makes Moustache special is the people. Every staff member is incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind, always greeting you with a smile and genuine warmth at any hour of the day. Their hospitality adds soul to the space and makes you feel seen and cared for. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable slowing down, sharing stories, and creating memories—exactly what a solo journey should feel like.
I had a wonderful stay at Mustache Hostel Khajuraho! The owner, Anand, was extremely helpful and made sure I had everything I needed. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The overall atmosphere of the hostel was great, and it really added to my experience of visiting Khajuraho. Thanks to Anand and the team, my trip turned out to be truly memorable. Highly recommended!
We would recommend the place. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I hardly recommend the ballad to see the sunset from the mountain - it was amazing 🤩🥰🥰 The part in the village was a bit less interesting. People from Moustache are sooo nice that I would prefer a little tour ( without handicraft store) with people from the hostel than an external friend. Food took sometimes a bit too long but always tasty and fresh 😌
Select this hotel because was good price and location. Arrive at night, manager organise tuk tuk from train rail way statin, thanks. We pay room with card, but did not check room before pay (it is my fault). But room was very very bad strong smell (smoke or something). We try to use AC and fan, open door, but nothing help to remove smell. We ask manager change room, but new room also smell. We go at night to find new hotel near. After that we ask refund, but manager reject it. We pay here 1800 for 1 night for nothing. Not recommend to stay here
