It was an absolute pleasure to visit… A truly refreshing and memorable experience. From the warm welcome to the inviting atmosphere, every moment felt thoughtfully curated and genuinely enjoyable. The surroundings offered both comfort and charm, making it easy to relax and fully appreciate the experience. It was the kind of visit that leaves a lasting impression and a sincere desire to return again.
The best property if you are visiting gangtok for the vibes with friends or solo. The staff is amazing and they know their way around the city. Oungal Dada is the best manager you can ask for! Shoutout out to him, he showed us around, helped me plan my day and made sure I felt like home. Absolutely lovely experience staying there would go again!
I stayed at the Moustache in Gangtok and it has to possibly be one of the best places to stay at. Starting with the location, it’s extremely close to MG Marg and yet far enough to avoid the crowds, situated between amazing coffee shops, this property has a location that is super convenient. The dorm rooms are clean, the bathrooms hygienic and beds pristine for the price that I paid, it was like getting a 4 star service at a hostel cost. The food was great and the bar lively with a pool table, terrace and staff that knows your preferences and always welcome you with a smile. Special shout out to Oungal, Pushkar, Ankit, Deepak and Alex, these guys will make you feel like your home, they make you laugh, give great guidance for local food and shopping and most importantly make you feel safe, specially if you’re a solo female traveler. Definitely worth the stay.
had an absolutely amazing stay at Moustache Hostel. Everything was truly 10/10 — the room, the staff, and the cleanliness. The room and toilet were spotless and very well maintained. It was honestly such a lovely and comfortable stay for me. They also have a restaurant and bar at the top, plus a beautiful rooftop with a full city view of Gangtok — the vibe up there is just perfect. The atmosphere is super friendly, and you’ll easily connect with like-minded, sorted people. A special shoutout to Ongal Bhutia — such a sweet and genuine guy! Anyone visiting should definitely meet him once. Thanks, man, you made my solo trip even more awesome! Would definitely love to meet again and plan something more crazy and fun in the future. Highly recommended for solo travellers 🙌✨

The location is another big plus—close to major attractions and easy to access, yet peaceful enough to unwind after a long day of exploring. The café/food options were also great, with tasty meals and a cozy atmosphere. What I loved the most was the hostel’s community feel. Whether you're a solo traveler or with friends, Moustache Hostel makes you feel at home. I would definitely choose to stay here again whenever I visit Gangtok.
