Loved my stay at Molly’s Hostel! It’s just a quick 200m walk to the beach and located in the peaceful South Cliff area, away from all the crowd and noise. The space is big, green, and full of relaxing corners perfect for chilling, working, or meeting new people. The vibe is calm, friendly, and feels like a little hidden escape. The staff is super helpful and always make you feel welcome. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with nature, good energy, and beach access within minutes, this is definitely the place. Would love to come back again! 🌿✨
We stayed in a private AC room and had a wonderful experience. The staff were exceptionally warm and helpful, always ready to assist. The hostel provides plenty of useful information about where to eat and what to do, which is perfect if you haven’t planned your trip in advance. The open green space has a lively vibe, and there are lots of board games available if you would like to relax and connect with fellow travelers. The canteen serves delicious food at very reasonable prices, and Vishnu went above and beyond by helping us with the connects for laundry, bikes, kayaking, and even a spa visit. The location is excellent—Alliyirakkam Beach is within walking distance, and the popular café Trip is Life is just two minutes away. A couple of things to note: there’s a mosque next door, so you’ll hear prayers starting around 5 a.m. There are occasional electricity cuts, but given the setting, this wasn’t an issue since we spent most of our time outdoors. A couple of improvements that I would suggest are refreshing or replacing the pillows and pillow covers and keeping a hand wash in the bathroom.
The staff was excellent and always provided great help and care. Our rooms were very clean. We felt so comfortable and safe here. The whole place has a very calm atmosphere. The hostel's location in the South Cliff gave us a more peaceful vibe. We honestly liked the South Cliff much more than the North Cliff. It is right next to the beautiful Aaliyirakam Beach. The staff even helped us easily get a scooter rental for our trip. My sister and I only stayed for one day and we were incredibly sad to leave. We wished we could have stayed much longer. We will definitely visit and stay here for our next trip, and for some more days.
I stayed at the Hostel in Varkala for 4 days, and it was such a lovely experience. The vibe is relaxed and friendly, and the staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The rooms and common areas are clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The location is ideal—just a short walk from the beach and great eateries. I also met amazing fellow travelers and felt completely at home. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Varkla!
We group of 9 stayed in a mixed dorms, and Molly's Hostel arranged us all stay into a single room. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay! 😊 The location isn't right on Varkala Cliff, which is about 3 km away. 🚶♀️ However, with a rental two-wheeler, getting around is quite simple and not a problem. There's also a lovely, less crowded beach close by within walking distance. 🏖️ Overall, it was a pleasant stay. 🌟
