Felt Like Home — My First Time in Mumbai☺️ If you’re visiting Mumbai and want more than just a place to sleep, Hostel Mantra is where you need to be. My stay here was nothing short of magical. The hostel is perfectly located near some beautiful beaches — a quieter, more soulful side of Mumbai that instantly made me fall in love with the city. What makes this place truly special is the culture it fosters. One of the fellow travellers cooked a delicious meal for all of us — that kind of warmth and generosity just sets the tone for everything. We had cozy movie screenings in the drawing room, and when the night got livelier, the rooftop terrace turned into the perfect party spot with the best energy you could ask for. Late-night conversations, laughs, gossip, and the kind of talks that only happen when you’re surrounded by the right people — Hostel Mantra had it all. A massive shoutout to the hosts Pradeep, Nidhi, and Faiz — you three are the heart and soul of this place. They’re warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, creating an environment where every guest feels welcomed from the moment they walk in. It’s rare to find hosts who go beyond hospitality and make you feel truly at home. For someone experiencing Mumbai for the first time, Hostel Mantra didn’t just give me a comfortable stay — it gave me a home. I came as a traveller and left with stories, new friendships, and a deep love for this city.
Stayed at Mantra and had a really pleasant experience. The property has a calm vibe, clean rooms, and a beautiful atmosphere perfect for relaxing. The staff was polite and helpful throughout the stay, and the service was smooth. The food and amenities were also good, making the overall experience comfortable and enjoyable. A great place for a short gateway with friends or family. Would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful and budget-friendly stay.
The rooms were good, but 4-6 people in a hostel room makes it difficult to share the washroom at the same time. Also, the fact that, when someone is getting ready in morning, and imagine them using perfume and all people in the room are affected by that. There's a bit crunch on the personal space and minor disturbances while you try to catch the sleep due to movements on the top bed/lower bed, your sleep may get affected. Also, it needs regular service and cleaning of pillows and bedsheets to avoid unwanted smells. The overall co-living apace was good enough, pretty decent facilities. Wifi, Free morning breakfast (Bread, butter, jam, Banana, eggs, milk, corn flakes), Kitchen is quite good. Also, you have a wonderful company of Tra, the perfect company to hoomans! Calm, silent, distinguished, won't bother you, just make your time better! The Wifi was good. Parking for 4-wheeler was available at walkable 2 min distance, which seemed safe, considering so many cars being parked there. Also, the storage deck provided needs a lock, which we need to get it. Going away with keeping your valuables on bed may not be the wisest choice but still overall it was safe.
Loved the Whole stay of four days ! Rooms were clean ! Smelt good ! The Common Places could've been better ! Met a lot of people, made some amazing connections ! And special mention to Priti for the Karaoke Nights and making everyone feel comfortable! Definitely would recommend!
I had a wonderful experience during my stay. The receptionist, Priti, was exceptionally kind, cooperative, and professional in her approach. Her warm and respectful behaviour made the overall experience very comfortable. As a single woman, I felt completely safe and at ease throughout my stay, which truly reflects the secure and positive environment of the place. I would highly recommend this property, especially for solo female travellers looking for a safe and welcoming stay.
