I stayed at Madpackers during my Udaipur trip, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions. The location is amazing—just a few minutes' walk from Ambrai Ghat, so it's super easy to explore the old city and enjoy the lake views. I booked a bunk bed, and honestly, it was really cozy and comfortable. The rooms and washrooms were clean, and everything felt well maintained. My favorite part was the lake-view common area and the rooftop café. I ended up spending a lot of time there, just relaxing with a coffee, watching the view, and chatting with other travelers. It has a very friendly vibe, so even if you're traveling solo, you won't feel alone. The staff were always smiling, helpful, and happy to suggest places to visit or good local food. For the price, I genuinely don't think you can ask for more. If I'm back in Udaipur, I'd definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
Everything is wonderful. Everyone working there are super good and very generous when it comes to hosting. It is very safe for a solo femal traveller are there is a females only dorm. I made new friends there. Mr. Gaurav is gem of a person. Kudos to everyone there. Good food ,good people, amazing view and most importantly very close to the old city walkable distance. Thank you for making me feel at home.
I stayed here for 8 days for workation. The hostel offered clean, comfortable rooms with excellent value for money. Staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with queries. The location was convenient, close to public transport and local attractions. Common areas were well-maintained, making it easy to socialize with fellow travelers. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and highly recommended for budget travelers. cheers

Decent rooms with good hygiene. Location is great as majority of sightseeing locations are walking distance from here. However, Female safety is a major concern here, female dormitory doesn't have door latches to lock the room from inside. This becomes risky from privacy and safety point of view especially at night as drinking/smoking is also allowed in the premises. To all the female travellers reading the review and planning a trip to udaipur, Please ensure safety precautions by your own. Hope this helps...
