Stayed at Madpackers Bir and honestly, it felt like the right place to experience Bir properly. The hostel has this easy, welcoming vibe — calm when you want peace, social when you feel like talking. Mornings start slow with chai and mountain air, and nights usually end with long conversations, music, and people you didn’t know but somehow feel familiar with.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, common areas are where everything happens, and the staff are genuinely warm — not hostel-formal, just good people who care. It’s one of those stays where days blend nicely and plans change because you don’t feel like leaving.
This was my best experience at Bir Biling, and the whole credit goes to Madpackers. Their hospitality has made my experience most amazing. The facilities are bang on worth for every buck you spent staying in this place. This place is an absolute recommendation to stay in Bir without a single doubt. Thanks for Guest Experience Managers Komal & Manish and their approach to everyone without hesitation guiding the best suggestions for activities, even finding best food in local, This place would surely make genuine interactions with fellow travellers and the arrangements with gatherings, bonfire sessions are never forgettable..
Location is near to bus dropping point and by walk you can explore the market area. More suitable for solo travellers or people who prefer dormitory beds. Rooms are not well maintained and every room has some other issues. Although, we got a replacement room when we raised lock issues in the room which was better. It also has thai restaurant in case anyone wants to try the authentic thai menu.
Had a great stay at Madpackers. Dorms very very well maintained. Staff was super helpful and professional. This is probably the best location in Bir for any Hostel, it is very close to the main road. Most of the bus pickup n drop points are also very close to the hostel which make it extremely convenient for solo female travellers.
The stay was really good. I like the whole vibe of the hostel, and their experience managers are really good. Thank you Manish and komal for making my trip memorable.
