Had an amazing stay at Madpackers Hostel! The rooms were super clean, and the facilities were great. Special mention for Aman bhaiya at the reception he's super polite, friendly, and a really awesome person. The location is perfect, very close to Chokling Monastery, about 500 meters or so, and easy to access everything. Everything was just brilliant! Would definitely recommend….
If you're in Bir and looking for a place to chill, meet new people, and have a good time, Madpackers is worth checking out. ✨ The host Jhanvi is amazing, she knows exactly how to bring people together and keeps the vibe lively. You'll hear countless stories from her and probably leave with a few stories of your own. The terrace evenings are especially fun, with great conversations, laughter, and just good energy all around. The dorms are clean, comfortable, and affordable, and the location is a bonus, it's just a short walk from the monastery. Good people, good vibes, and good memories.✌️

I recently traveled from Kedarnath to Bir, initially booking another hostel for 2-3 days. But a chance meeting with Jhanvi completely changed my plans—and for the better. I switched to Madpackers Bir and ended up staying longer because of how incredible the experience was. WiFi worked well, the place stayed clean, and the overall setup felt thoughtful and well-maintained. Jhanvi works as a freelancer at Madpackers and is an absolute gem. She’s knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and goes way beyond typical hostel staff duties. After meeting her, I immediately felt confident shifting my booking. Her deep understanding of the local area, trails, and hidden gems turned a standard stay into an unforgettable adventure. She personally took our group on multiple outings that I wouldn’t have discovered or navigated as confidently on my own. Jhanvi’s expertise in planning these trips, her positive attitude, and genuine care made every outing smooth, safe, and enriching. She knows the trails, the best timings, local insights, and how to balance adventure with comfort. Her passion for the place is contagious and really embodies what makes Madpackers special. Multiple other guests also raved about her hospitality. Final Verdict Madpackers Bir offers the perfect blend of comfort, affordability, location, and community. But it’s people like Jhanvi who turn a good hostel into a memorable experience. Whether you’re a solo traveler, couple, or group looking for adventure in Bir-Billing, I can’t recommend this place enough. If you want to truly explore Bir like a local—hikes, waterfalls, valleys, and everything in between—stay here and connect with Jhanvi.
