Louis backpackers Hostel

I booked this hostel for New Year’s 2026 because no other places were available, so I honestly went in with zero expectations. But it turned out to be the best part of my entire trip. Host Rishab took care of everything I needed and made sure everyone felt included. He even organized a New Year’s party for all the hostel mates. None of us felt the need to go out to pubs or the city. We had all the fun right there. I made so many memories and so many new friends. Truly good days. Highly recommend!

Stayed there for 3 nights and I'm not sure if I'll recommend this place for anyone, I love the location of this place, the peaceful vibe of the area and the great people I met here, but this is where the problems start... To get into the hostel you walk through a badminton court and the noise from the games goes on until late at night, This is also a problem for the laundry, the laundry hanging room is open to the court, and after hanging my clothes at night I found strangers from the court sitting and smoking right next to my clean clothes in the morning. Inside the rooms it’s not much better, there are no curtains on the beds for privacy and no big lockers so everyone’s gear is just a mess all over the floor. The cleanliness was the biggest issue for me, especially in the washroom which were really dirty and needed a serious scrub. Also, regarding the shower, hot water doesn't come from the showerhead but you can use a heating rod in a bucket. It's a shame because the spot by the river is really nice but the management just isn't there, there is only one worker named Mofee and he's a helpful cool guy but he is left alone to deal with everything, which he just can't do by himself.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the common areas were perfect for meeting fellow travelers. The owner is super chill and incredibly friendly, which really adds to the relaxed, home-away-from-home vibe. The staff were always helpful and full of great local tips. The location was ideal for exploring the city, and overall it was excellent value for money. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

This was my first solo trip to kochi . I had an absolutely serene and refreshing stay, this hostel is beautifully surrounded by stunning water body, and had a calm and peaceful atmosphere throughout the day. Dorm was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful . In the evening they took me for kayacking. Looking forward to more stays in louis.

I stayed at this hostel in Kochi for a day, and it was a really pleasant experience. The location is excellent and very convenient for sightseeing, which made exploring the city much easier. The place was clean, neat, and well-maintained, creating a comfortable stay. The service was also very good, and a special mention to Mafidulhaque, who was extremely kind and helpful throughout my stay. His support really made a difference and added a personal touch to the experience. Overall, a great place to stay if you’re visiting Kochi—comfortable, affordable, and well-located!
