Stayed here twice, at the beginning and at the end of my trip. It's a very nice and social hostel. The staff is amazing and when I visit Delhi again, I'd definitely stay here again! 🌞
Location is good too, there is a lot of nice streetfood near by.
And to all the ladies that are worried about safety in Delhi/India: Don't let fear rule you! India is amazing :)
Joey's Hostel is a very good place for solo or family travelers.
Sindhi Camp bus stand & Jaipur Junction Railway station approx distance is 500 to 600 mtrs.
Staff is very very good, Humble & Polite.
In house restaurant provide varieties of foods so you will stay there worry free.
Awesome food quality & taste.
Many other events & activities organise by Joeys Hostel for travelers.
We Stayed there 2 times : once in a dorm and then in a private room. Both times were okay. Bathroom pretty clean, staff very nice and the buffet breakfast on rooftop is fine. Very close to Taj Mahal so very convenient if you want to visit at opening time (around 5-6 am) which is highly suggested because of the hot days and very crowded even before sunrise.
One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in and that’s mostly because of how social it is. The boys working there make you feel welcome and help out with anything, always there for a chat. We went to play football with them - great fun. Great rooftop as well. Special thanks to Abbey who gave us a tour of Old Delhi and was spot on with everything. I feel like his speech at the end stuck with all of us! Showed the reality of so many people. If you want an authentic and honestly just brilliant experience there this hostel will be great.
Room: clean enough, comfortable. I thought 14 bed room on 2nd floor was quieter to outside traffic than smaller rooms on third floor.
Toilets & Showers: shared. Smelled bad on second floor but not first. Really nice soap provided. Free drinking water useful for tooth brushing.
Lockers: good in room, pretty insecure storage room. Security here is laid back.
Laundry: offered
Social Atmosphere: occasional activities and people hang out at night at the rooftop. Met a lot of Indians. The staff are cool bros and one of my favorite things about this hostel—extremely friendly.
Location: kinda ghetto area, but I didn’t feel unsafe. Close walk to metro, which is very useful. Uber from airport costs a dollar (40 minute ride).
Overall: Pretty incredible value for like $7 a night. I enjoyed my stay and returned when I came back to Delhi.
