I had a very disappointing experience at Indian Culture Rishikesh. The service was terrible from start to finish. The room was poorly maintained. The lighting was so dim that it was difficult to see anything properly, and there wasn't even a TV in the room. The staff were unhelpful, and the overall service was practically non-existent. The property tries to create an "aesthetic" atmosphere, but it feels like style over substance. People were smoking cannabis around the property throughout the day, which made the environment uncomfortable for many guests. I would not recommend this hotel or hostel to Indian travelers, as most people may not enjoy the overall vibe. The café was equally disappointing. The food quality was below average, and even simple orders took around an hour to arrive. By the time the food was served, we had almost lost our appetite. The evenings were extremely quiet, to the point where the place felt dull rather than peaceful. Even basic amenities were inconvenient—you have to get your own drinking water instead of being provided with it. Overall, the rooms, service, food, and facilities were all disappointing. There are many better places to stay in Rishikesh. I would recommend avoiding this property if you are looking for comfort, good service, and a pleasant stay.
Sankalp is one of the kindest owner I’ve ever met. I came to Indian Culture after a terrible experience in another hostel and he took care of me in the best way possible. The rooms are super clean and spacious, every bed has his own curtains and a private locker. The food in the cafe is amazing and the athmosphere is quiet and cozy. Amazing people are staying there and I created unforgettable memories. If I’ll ever come back in Rishikesh I’ll come back to Indian Culture for sure. Thank you from the deepest of my heart❤️
I had a perfect stay here during my visit to Rishikesh . Rooms was clean and well manitained, staff was helpful since we were facing some issue with locking the door he helped us resolve that issue. For me the best part was the location it very near to laxman jhula and Bajrang setu, also for pebel beach or tapovan ghat its, very near easily can go by small walk . You can sit on the common area if you prefer to read novels or take a sip of your coffee surrounded by trees giving a perfect ambiance. Surely recommend this to anyone who wants to stay close to laxman Jhula tapovan area.
I had a wonderful stay at this property. Very well maintained , the staff and people are very friendly perfect space for solo female traveler. If you’re looking for a peaceful place closer to the attractions just go for it. If you’re looking for a party hostel or place for large groups would not recommend as this place has that calm and quiet atmosphere.
Such a nice hostel! The food is good and the team working there so kind and helpful. Dorms are clean and comfortable and the common areas makes it very easy to connect with other travellers. My only wish is that it was located in upper Tapovan as this area near Ganga is very busy and far from the yoga, activities and cafés I mostly went to in upper Tapovan.
