I wanted to give 3.5 stars, but that option seems to be unavailable. Cons: 1. Bathroom was smelly and door tiles were having mould on it. I can't even explain how bad the bucket was. This was the biggest con and in my opinion bathrooms should be very spick and span. But if that's not a big deal for you I think you can skip the remaining part of review and go ahead and book it. 2. Our room did not have full length mirror. Might be there in other rooms. 3. Not even complimentary water bottles were available. Pros: 1. The location of the property is great. Just walkable distance from city palace. 2. Manager, Krishna Sharma is very helpful and kind. 3. Rooms are clean. The paint themes they have used have a good vibe. 4. Pet zoo-zoo is cute and adds to the vibe.
Had a really pleasant stay here in Udaipur. The hostel was clean, comfortable, and had a very positive vibe. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere made it easy to relax after a long day of exploring the city. Great place for solo travelers. Would definitely stay again!

Plus, the hostel vibe was super chill, made new friends, and had a blast swapping travel stories . If you're heading to Udaipur, Footprint's dorms are a definite must-book! I recently stayed at Footprint Hostel, Udaipur, and it was honestly such a wonderful experience. Everything was extremely well managed, and the staff were incredibly helpful, sweet, and welcoming throughout my stay. A special mention to Vijay and Chandra — they truly made the hostel feel like home. The vibe here is cozy, warm, and very comforting, which makes a huge difference when you’re traveling. The food at Raga Café is amazing — really tasty and satisfying. And the view is absolutely the highlight! The hostel is located right next to Lake Pichola, and waking up to that view is just magical. Another big plus is the location — almost everything is within walking distance, which makes exploring Udaipur super easy. Highly recommend Footprint Hostel to anyone visiting Udaipur. I’d definitely stay here again! 😊
We stayed in Udaipur at the Footprint Hotel in Dormant, and it was a wonderful experience. The owner and all the staff at Footprint were incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming. They made us feel comfortable throughout our stay and were always ready to assist with anything we needed. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Udaipur!
