Had a wonderful experience staying at Footprint by the Lake Hostel. The highlight of the property is definitely the beautiful lake view, which can be enjoyed from both the rooms and the stunning rooftop restaurant. Watching the sunrise and sunset from the rooftop while enjoying delicious food was truly memorable. The common area is spacious, vibrant, and perfect for relaxing or meeting fellow travelers. The food was fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced, offering great value for money. The stay itself is very affordable without compromising on comfort or quality. The hospitality deserves special appreciation—the staff is warm, friendly, and always ready to help. It’s nothing but a scam. Its shady at best. Private rooms are located in a dingy ‘B’ wong which was not informed propr. The staircase is narrow with no lake view….opens to another property. The rooms are very tiny with zero to none amenities in the room. And the most suspicious thing about the rooms are a clear glass panel abovr the door in every room. Anyone can peep inside! Crazy!
Stay away from this shady property at all costs. They are looting customers with the pictures. We booked a private room, and the surprising part is the photos of the building is not even uploaded in the site because it is in such a horrific state and the room is not even cleaned. When questioned, they are mentioning it's in wing B, how are we supposed to know which one is wing B. Don't even have guts to post the pictures of the property. Trying to loot customers by uploading pictures of another property of theirs. I have never seen a manager talk like this, arrogant and zero courtesy towards customer. They don't have any ethics. We couldn't even stay there, and wasted our money. Don't even think of booking here. No proper access road, feels very unsafe.
I had booked through an app after talking to the contact number given in Google. I was provided with the exact room with great view of one side of Lake pichola. The room was neat and clean. The building seems new. The location is perfect with majority of tourist spots at walking distance. As it's a hostel (with few private rooms also), it would be definitely great for bachelors and young couples. I have given service rating as 4 coz they have skeletal stuff, who ofcourse can't work round the clock. But as long as they are available, they will make the stay pleasing.
One of the best hostel experiences in Udaipur! The property is clean, vibrant, and perfectly located near all major attractions.
