A nightmare of a stay 1. Room Conditions * Hygiene: I encountered cockroaches and bedbugs on the bed. The luggage storage area was infested with cockroaches, and they were constantly crawling on the floor. I also found bloodstains on the bedding, which strongly suggests a bedbug infestation. * Facilities: The air conditioning is not consistently operational, likely to cut costs. The personal fan provided was covered in thick layers of dust. Additionally, there was no trash bin in the room, and the window blinds were broken. 2. Bathroom/Shower * Cleanliness: The bathroom emitted a foul smell of mold and stagnant water. There was pervasive pink mold/mildew on the shower walls. * Maintenance: The bidet hose, toilet, and faucet were all faulty. To make matters worse, there was no hot water, and the ventilation was completely inadequate. 3. Staff & Service * Unprofessionalism: The staff members were seen eating inside guest rooms after 11 PM. They consistently forgot my requests and displayed a complete lack of professional courtesy. Most unacceptably, a staff member shone a flashlight directly onto my face while I was sleeping. This establishment is a textbook example of poor management, where dilapidated facilities are paired with an entirely unprofessional and incompetent staff. It fails to meet even the most basic standards of hygiene, service, and hospitality. Given the abysmal management, I am certain that should any issue or accident occur, guests would receive zero support or accountability. I cannot recommend this place under any circumstances; it is fundamentally broken in every possible way.

While the stay was comfortable, the hygiene standards were disappointing. The common bathrooms require hourly cleaning rather than twice-daily cleaning, as the current schedule cannot keep up with the high volume of guests. Furthermore, the bathrooms need a deep clean to remove built-up stains. Most concerning, however, is the practice of not changing bed linens and pillowcases between checkouts. Given that travellers arrive from various environments, reusing linens without washing them is a major health and sanitation risk. I’ve rated cleanliness one star specifically because of these unacceptable hygiene practices

You may come across Dormitory Charyana Heights through reels or booking apps, but in reality, there are far better dormitories available nearby. This is one of the most unhygienic places I have ever stayed at. They offer two types of dormitories: a non-AC dormitory located in the basement with a very bad smell, and a common AC dormitory for both males and females. The beds are uncomfortable, and the washrooms are extremely dirty. Although the location is prime, the price charged is not justified at all. Surprisingly, they charge ₹500 extra for locker facilities, which is a basic amenity provided free at most dormitories (though the amount is refundable). The staff is cooperative at times but their behavior can be rude. Overall, it is a place where you can somehow manage to spend one night, but it is advisable to explore better dormitory options within 1–2 km of this area.
