Bunk n Beyond Hostel Udaipur

Bunk and Beyond Hostel honestly gave us some of the best memories of our Udaipur trip. From the vibe of the place to the amazing people there, everything felt so genuine and comfortable. The staff and the owner are truly amazing people. We loved spending time, chilling, talking, and laughing with them. It never felt like we were staying as guests — they treated us more like friends and made us feel completely at home. Honestly, we’ve rarely met such chill, kind, and welcoming people like the Bunk and Beyond team. One of the best parts was the jamming sessions — the vibe was absolutely mind-blowing and something we’ll always remember. Thank you for making our trip even more memorable and special. We would genuinely love to stay with you all again very soon. Sending lots of love to the entire Bunk and Beyond family ❤️

I want to share this so other travellers — especially women — don’t go through what my friends and I experienced here. We were harassed by the owner and his wife, and this place is absolutely unsafe. We reached after 18 hours of travel, already having paid the advance and then the remaining amount during check-in. But the room looked nothing like the photos. It was extremely small, unhygienic, and the bathroom was so dirty that now I understand why they never show any bathroom pictures online. When we politely said we didn’t like the room and asked if there was any solution, the owner instantly became rude. He said: “It’s like this only. If you don’t like it, take your luggage and leave. No refund.” He hung up on us multiple times. We even asked for another room, and they admitted all rooms are the same. When we requested even a partial refund, both the owner and his wife started shouting at us — literally shouting — in an aggressive way that made us feel unsafe. At one point, we were scared they might even hit us. If I was alone, I genuinely don’t know what I would have done. They also told us that if we wanted hygiene, we should have paid ₹2,500 instead of ₹1,700, which is ridiculous. ₹1,700 is not free — the least we expect is a clean toilet and basic respect. At one point, the owner picked up a mop and started rubbing it on the toilet to “prove” something, instead of accepting that the bathroom itself was in horrible condition. The overall environment felt unsafe, especially for women. The behaviour, the shouting, the intimidating tone — everything made us feel extremely uncomfortable. This was by far the worst hospitality experience I’ve had. If you’re a woman or travelling with friends, do not book this place. No one deserves to be treated like this.

An unplanned random visit to a lovely place, you know the kind of vibe that clicks you, at first I was planning to leave the place but destiny thinks otherwise which made me stay, a stay that's I have never experienced, a feeling that made me feel beyond life. An experiment which was like an eureka moment. Just short of word, it's my heart that's I am trying to express that whatever praise I gaive, it still feels insufficient. Nishak & Ajay just were not just host they were like family..!! All and all going back with a pleasant memory..!!

The location is good, and both the balcony and terrace are nice. However, several things clearly need renovation. The interior looks dull and dusty. The bathroom is unhygienic and dirty, and the bathtub has a strong unpleasant smell. The bed mattress is uncomfortable, and the lights are dim, with some not working at all. I would only recommend the lake-facing room if the price is under ₹1000.

Had an amazing stay here.. truly a 100/10 experience Amazing food amazing vibe and such a sexy rooms ✨✨ The hosts were super duper kind and helpful and the hospitality is outstanding They treat every guest like family. would definitely come again! ❤️
