Whoopers Hostel Kasol

We had stayed at the other properties of whoopers and hence preferred whoopers as a brand to stay at kasol and booked hostel from 29th Dec to 1st Jan but following are the big big cons: 1. Property is not at all maintained properly. 2. Water goes off randomly when asked caretaker & manager both said tank is filling up this happened many times a day. 3. Common area is more of junkie place than hangout place. 4. No HOT water at -4C imagine you are paying premium price on yearend and do not get HOT water 5. It is 4kms far from main kasol market and happening area no easy connectivity. 6. We booked for 3 Nights but we stayed for 1 night only due to horrific experience. We stayed at other places rest of the 2 Nights. When we asked for refund or shift us to other property at tosh manager denied upfront. This kind of property is pulling down Whoopers as a brand. If you are not finding proper staff to run please shut it down.

My sheets were already used, the room had no power, and the toilet was a bit grim. At £4 a night you get what you pay for. It’s in a cool location between Manikaran and Kasol and the roof of the Nomad hostel is awesome.

The staff service is very poor. Since the property is being sunset soon, they barely care about guests. If you’re planning a late check-in around 7 PM, avoid it — the kitchen will be closed. They won’t provide basic things like sauce, glasses, or even cutlery if you bring food from outside. Most of the positive reviews seem fake or paid. There’s not even a room heater or a kettle for hot drinking water.

I stayed at the hotel for 10 days and had a great overall experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Staff were polite, responsive, and always ready to help. The hotel’s location was ideal for getting around easily. Daily housekeeping and smooth service made the stay hassle-free. Would definitely recommend it for both short and long stays!

Absolute garbage of a property. I like whoopers a lot but this changed my perspective on the chain. No soap, no clean drinking water. Staff said no smoking indoors and I later see them all smoking in the common area. Complete lack of hygiene. Booked for 2 days and checked out after 1 day. They dont even have sufficient blankets for the winter.
