Wabi Sabi Hostel

I stayed at Wabi Sabi Hostel in Chalal for one night, and it was a really good experience. The hostel has a relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes it easy to feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was well-organised. The place was clean, the common areas were great for relaxing and meeting fellow travellers, and the peaceful surroundings added to the charm of the stay. Even though I was only there for a night, I genuinely enjoyed my time and wished I could have stayed longer. I’d definitely recommend Wabi Sabi Hostel to anyone visiting Chalal who is looking for a comfortable, social, and laid-back place to stay. I’d be happy to stay here again on my next visit.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Wabi Sabi in Kasol. The location is simply perfect, situated right next to the river, where the soothing sound of flowing water creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The beautiful riverside café adds to the charm, making it a great spot to unwind with a coffee while enjoying the stunning views. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The food was delicious, with a good variety of options, and the service was prompt and attentive throughout my stay. If you're looking for a cozy stay in Kasol with breathtaking river views, great food, and excellent hospitality, Hotel Wabi Sabi is definitely worth visiting. Highly recommended!

My third consecutive annual stay here and the experience has been consistently good each time. Vishant the hostel manager is excellent — attentive, helpful, and listens to his guests. And Chotu with his ever-present smile is one of those people who just makes the place feel warmer every time you walk past him. Rooms and washrooms are clean and well maintained. I stayed across three rooms this visit — Mercury on the first night, Pluto on the second which is great if you want quieter surroundings, and Jupiter on the third night which has balcony access and is easily the best room in the house. Vishant arranged Jupiter for me and my friends on special request, which was a lovely touch. The crowd here is the right kind of backpacker mix. First night was a bonfire, second night drinks and easy banter with fellow travellers and the third night just enjoying the sounds of the flowing river as a therapy before the return the next day morning. One thing worth knowing: if you are extending your stay, be flexible about switching rooms depending on bookings and availability. It is standard hostel practice but good to go in prepared. Overall — clean, well run, great people, good vibes. See you again next year.

I had one of the most memorable experiences here, all thanks to Vineeth, the manager at Wabi Sabi. I came in wanting to spend my birthday alone, just to have some quiet time—but he completely turned it into something unexpectedly special. Without me asking, he went out of his way to connect with my friends and surprised me in the best possible way. It was such a thoughtful and genuine gesture that I’ll never forget. Vineeth is easily one of the coolest and most considerate hosts I’ve come across. The hospitality here is truly amazing, and the ambiance just adds to the magic. The view is absolutely stunning—it’s the kind of place where you can just sit back and soak it all in. I genuinely loved this place and would highly recommend it to anyone. Definitely a must-visit!
