We stayed here as a group of 5 for 1 night. The property has a good riverside location and tasty, fairly priced food. The cleanliness of the room and attached washroom could have been a little bit better. The bedsheets were not changed for us after the previous guests. Floor was dirty/muddy. Filter water was not clean and had food particles or something like that floating in it.
The location and view are stunning, thanks to nature, but that’s about it. The hostel itself is poorly maintained, with damp and dusty rooms. They don’t inform you at the time of booking that you can’t drive your own car to the location—you either need to hike for 25 minutes or take an expensive 4x4 cab each time you go to Kasol town. Room heaters aren’t guaranteed, so you’ll need luck to get one that works. While the dorms are budget-friendly, the private rooms are overpriced and not worth it. Even in private rooms no water, no toiletries, no towels. Food wise not much options and very average in taste.
Truly an experience to cherish.... Excellent views, delicious food and super friendly caretakers.... Best bunch of guys managing the hostel... live the wabi sabi life Thank you guys for making my first Kasol trip more awesome. God bless. Cheerz
This place has a great ambiance and the vibe here is something else. The view from the balcony is so pretty I could see is all day long. The hostel is really comforgable, the atmosphere is grrat, and the guests are super friendly. The view if the Parvati River from the hostel is absolutely beautiful-- it adds such a special touch to the experience. Sumit, the Host here at Wabi Sabi Hostel, does a fantastic job of getting everyone together!
The rooms are decent. However, if you're carrying heavy luggage, be warned the hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the main Kasol market in Chalal village. Only Altos or Jeeps can manage the road, which is in poor condition and has no lighting at night. If you're someone who enjoys offbeat destinations, this place is a must-visit. It's peaceful, and the serene beauty of the surroundings is truly commendable. From the balcony, you can hear the soothing sound of the Parvati River all day long.
