Unearth hostel was very clean and friendly. The moment I checked in they told me how to navigate Auroville. I made friends even though I unfortunately only was able to stay two nights. Would definitely have extended my stay if I had time. It’s a great place to start your journey into Auroville or to just stay for a few nights and hang out. Highly recommended!!
My stay here was super pleasant! Beautiful animals and staff reside here. Yoga sessions with contribution on the roof and inside were so excellent and the best way to start the day!! Clean and comfortable place to rest. Dear management: I would suggest a WiFi booster for stronger signal in the rooms please!
Worst service Edit: as soon as we arrive there are lot of people smoking outside and on the public area. Here they talk about nature, art of forest, meditation and all Almost all everyone smokes cigerate The reviews and photos are not real here It's not good for family and even couple also We got room at 12 30 pm instead of 12pm But while check out , I asked 10 more mins extra , but owner says impossible Also they talk with fake accent Reviews are fake they use fake persons for 5 start reviews No services like hot water, tissue , extra bedsheet It's better to stay in pondi and visit auravilla with scooter
Popular with young indian tourists who want to get away from their restricted conservative home and experience some alcohol and drugs. There are signs in the hostel saying drugs, alcohol and smoking are not allowed. But it is. The staff are great. I wouldn't recommend it to non-Indians unless you are cool with a slightly dark party and drugs vibe. The roads in the area are very dusty polluted and dangerous to pedestrians. The area around matrimandir and auroville is not the cool hippy place it's made out to be. The kitchen is a filthy nightmare. But you might be ok with all the above.
It is located in Auroville entrance is guarded by security. The location seems to be connected to nature with trees. The birds chirping sound in the morning seems to be pleasant and good for people coming from city side. This place is suitable to visit along with friends.
