I had a pleasant stay at this property. When I first checked in, there was an issue with the Wi-Fi in my room, but the owner was very cooperative and resolved it promptly. The staff was also friendly, helpful, and courteous throughout my stay. I really enjoyed my time here. The best part is the excellent location.Overall, it was a great experience, and I would happily stay here again. It's a nice place to stay, and I would definitely recommend it.
Highly recommend exceptional staff and great facilities! We had a fantastic experience here. The rooms were spotless, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A major highlight was their flexibility; after we checked out, they kindly allowed us to stay and chill in the hostel until our night bus. Their common area is excellent, equipped with plenty of books and games, which made the waiting time fly by. Will definitely stay here again!
I stayed here solo for 2 days, and overall it was an average experience. I’d rate it around 2.8/5. 📍 Location & Area: The location is actually quite convenient 👍. It’s close to Laxman Jhula (around 5–10 minutes walking distance), so exploring nearby cafés and markets is easy. The area has a nice, lively vibe. 🏍️ Bike Rental: They do provide bike rentals, which is helpful, but the pricing didn’t feel consistent. 🛏️ Rooms & Stay: Rooms were average. Dorms felt a bit compact and facilities need better maintenance. Cleanliness was decent but not impressive. 👨💼 Staff & Service: Staff was a mix 🙂 — some were friendly and helpful, while others felt a bit unprofessional when handling issues. 🚗 Parking: Parking is difficult. You’ll have to manage creatively, though staff may help if you ask. 🔥 What was really good: The best part was definitely the location and overall vibe 👍. Being so close to Laxman Jhula and surrounded by cafés made the stay convenient and enjoyable. ❌ What was really bad: The worst part was the inconsistency in service and facilities — especially things like pricing, maintenance, and overall management. It didn’t feel very smooth. 💰 Value for Money: Okay for budget travelers, but not great considering the issues. ⭐ Overall: Good for a short solo stay if your priority is location, but not ideal if you expect comfort and proper management.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Stay at Blue Jay Hostel! I had a wonderful experience at Blue Jay Hostel. The atmosphere is friendly, peaceful, and perfect for meeting travelers from around the world. The rooms and dorms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff is very welcoming, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything. The location is excellent, with easy access to cafes, yoga studios, and beautiful spots around Rishikesh. The common area is great for relaxing, working, or connecting with other guests. Overall, Blue Jay Hostel offers great value for money and creates a memorable travel experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rishikesh. 10/10 – Great vibes, great people, and a great stay! 🌿✨🏔️
Huge thanks to Front Desk Manager Hemant Pruthi for going above and beyond with his hospitality. I had accidentally left my AirPods behind, and he personally cooperated to get them couriered back to me — even driving around 4 km to help with it. Truly humble, kind, and extremely helpful throughout. Rarely come across such genuine customer service these days. Really appreciate the effort and support!
