Fantastic stay at Shalom Backpackers! The dorms and washrooms were spotlessly clean, making it super comfortable for the travelers. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile. WiFi coverage was strong everywhere, perfect for work or streaming. Plenty of common area space to relax, chill with other guests, or just unwind. Location is prime, right near Mall Road, super easy to reach without any hassle. Highly recommend for anyone exploring the area!
I stayed at this hotel for one day last week and had a very pleasant experience. The staff members are extremely cooperative and helpful, which made the stay comfortable. The rooms are neat, clean, and well maintained, and the interiors are quite nice.
A thoughtful touch is the provision of warm drinking water on every floor. The hotel also has a lift, which is very convenient. The in-house restaurant serves delicious food at affordable prices.
The biggest advantage of this hotel is its excellent location — public car parking and the lift to Mall Road are right next to the property. The view from the top two floors is also really good.
Overall, a great place to stay and I would definitely recommend it.

A comfortable and cosy stay located right next to the Cart Road lift that takes you to Mall Road. If you’re a solo traveller, group or couple looking for clean rooms complemented by prompt customer service — which is their USP by the way, look no further.
Mr Ramesh Thakur and Deepanshu at the reception desk were polite and always ready to help, making sure they go the extra mile to make your stay pleasant. Just one call and they were prompt with the resolutions! Same goes for the cafeteria staff. And thanks a lot to Sachin, Rahul, Deepak and Manish from housekeeping staff for all their diligence.
The coffee at the cafeteria is perfect for winter mornings. The different balconies/terraces on each floor come with spectacular views of the city, especially the famous Christ Church. They have a mini library too if you enjoy reading while sitting in the sun and overlooking the city. :)

Great stay overall with very friendly and helpful staff. Loved the view from the common area, plus the reading room and play area. Food n restaurant were good, and as a solo traveler I had a wonderful time meeting other people out there .
The only issue was dorm hygiene after checkout, the bedsheet and quilt hadn’t been changed or cleaned despite being told, to which the room service lied . But I ll suggest to just ask the receptionist ,they will sort everything otherwise no issue .
The hostel is located at a scenic spot right on the main road, which makes it both beautiful and very convenient. I stayed in a Deluxe Room, and it was truly value for money — clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
A special mention to Mrs. Sunita Ji for her warm and thoughtful hospitality. We extended our stay hoping to witness snowfall, and she actually called me in the morning to congratulate us, saying our extension was worth it because it had started snowing. That personal touch made our experience unforgettable.
Also, Mr. Rajendra Kumar deserves appreciation for his professionalism and courteous service at the café. He was always polite, quick, and attentive.
