I genuinely had one of the best hostel experiences at Shalom Backpackers Jaipur, and a huge part of that was because of the people there.
Special mention to Shivam, Golu Bhaiya and Ranvijay. ❤️ I don’t even know how our conversations kept turning into 5–6–7 hour conversations every single day, but they did. 😂 We would sit talking till late at night about literally everything, and somehow those conversations became some of my favourite memories from Jaipur.
The best way I can explain it is what happened on my last day. I still had Nahargarh Fort left on my list and had a few hours before catching my bus to Udaipur. I was tired and thought about what I actually wanted to do with my last few hours in Jaipur. I could either squeeze in one more tourist spot or just stay back and spend that time with these guys.
I chose to stay.
And I don’t regret it even a little bit. It was absolutely worth it.
I was travelling solo, but they never really made me feel like I was on a solo trip. It never felt like a typical staff-and-guest interaction either. It just felt like I had found people I genuinely enjoyed being around.
Of course Jaipur gave me forts, markets, food, shopping and a million pictures, but some of my favourite memories are simply sitting at Shalom and talking for hours till late at night.
Shivam, Golu Bhaiya and Ranvijay — thank you for being such a huge part of my Jaipur experience. You guys genuinely made the place feel like home for those few days. ❤️
Sometimes the highlight of a trip isn’t another place you managed to tick off your itinerary. It’s the people you met along the way.
For me, Shalom was that.

Wonderful Stay!
I had a truly pleasant and heartwarming experience staying here. The dorms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was peaceful, making it easy to relax and meet fellow travelers. The location was also convenient for exploring Jaipur. Overall, it felt like a home away from home. Highly recommended, and I'd happily stay here again!
Highly impressed with this hotel. The ambiance was peaceful, the rooms were immaculate and well-equipped, and the Wi-Fi speed was great. A huge thanks to the management and front desk team for their professional and welcoming behavior. They truly go out of their way to make guests feel at home.
Our stay at Shalom was decent. It's located near tourist spots and the rooftop view is pretty good. The staff are warm and welcoming. The only issue we had was regarding food. The food here is loaded with masala. They should offer mild options for people who can't handle spice. Overall a decent place.
I stayed in the dormitory and as a girl I felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and the overall vibe of the hostel was amazing. It was easy to meet new people, and everyone was kind which made the experience even more enjoyable. The common areas had a nice atmosphere making it a great place to relax and socialize after exploring Jaipur. The only thing that could be improved is the cleanliness as it was a bit of an issue. Other than that, I had a really good experience and would definitely recommend this hostel!!
