I had a wonderful stay at Safar Hostel! The hostel was very nice, clean, and comfortable with a great atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. It really felt like a home away from home. I would definitely recommend Safar Hostel to anyone looking for a welcoming and enjoyable place to stay.
A Home Away From Home – My First Solo Travel Experience at Safar Hostel, Manali I recently spent 3 unforgettable days at Safar Hostel in Manali, and I can genuinely say it felt like home. This was my first ever solo trip—from Kerala to Manali—and I couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. The people at Safar were absolutely amazing! I made so many new friends, and the environment was so warm and welcoming that I never once felt alone. One person who truly made this trip special was Kaber, the property manager—well, not really a manager to me anymore, but a true friend. He didn’t treat me like just a guest, but like a best friend. We explored some of the most beautiful spots in Manali together, including an incredible trek to Jogni Waterfall. It was challenging, and honestly, I felt like quitting at just 20% of the way—but Kaber kept motivating us. His guidance, energy, and good vibes pushed us through, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. The hot spring bath near the temple at the end of the trek was the perfect reward. Safar Hostel is more than just a place to stay—it’s a place to connect, to grow, and to feel at peace. I came for a solo journey, but I left with a heart full of friendships and unforgettable memories. Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Manali—especially solo travelers. You’ll find a family here.
Safar Hostel have comfortable and clean dormitories and rooms, which providing a cozy space for travelers. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere created by the helpful staff makes it a favorite among visitors. Guests enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and landscapes from the hostel’s balcony. The hostel is well-located, with easy access to local hiking spots and sightseeing options, making it a great base for exploration. Additionally, the hostel’s kitchen offers a delicious and affordable menu, further enhancing the overall experience.
I visited this place in April. For starters it's an efficiently maintained and run nest, hidden inside a lash green apple farm, by the clubhouse road, at a walkable distance from the old manali bridge. Sanchita (I didn't get a chance to meet Ali but I'm sure he is as well) is a responsible and responsive host, with full of creative ideas. It's a place that has successfully managed to build a community around it, arranging games, nearby hikes, jamming sessions and many more fun activities. The staff here are very helpful. You can be a digital nomad (like me) or an adventurer (also me, but in the past) or a budget traveler or someone seeking a quiet escape, you will not feel out of place here.
Loved My Stay at Safar Hostel, Manali! Thank you for creating such a beautiful space in Manali – not just in design, but in spirit. From the moment I arrived, I felt at home. The love and care you’ve put into Safar shows in everything – from the cozy rooms and stunning mountain views to the thoughtful conversations, chai, and the sense of community. The common areas are where the magic happens – sharing chai on the terrace, meeting fellow travelers in the lounge, and just soaking in the good vibes. The curated treks, cafe crawls, bonfires, and local tips really added to the experience. Special shoutout to the kitchen staff – the food was delicious and made with care, always tailored to our tastes. To the owners and volunteers: your warmth and genuine hospitality brought strangers together and turned them into friends. I came for a stay, but left with memories and a little piece of Safar in my heart. And of course, love to Sky and Max – the true soul of the place. Their playful, loving energy made the stay even more special. If you're heading to Manali and want a place that feels like home, Safar is it. Can’t wait to return!
