Absolutely not worth it. This is not in Kasol market but in Choj which is 2 kms from the market. Taxi would take ₹200/300 per person to go upto Kasol. There was no electricity throughout our stay and the manager refrained to turn on the generator.
The manager was also not cooperative. He did not help us with anything.
The food was below average. Better take Moksha Stay or Hosteller or ATC or Asherwoods stay.
Unfortunately, my stay at Nomad Hostel, Kasol was quite disappointing. The hostel is very far from the main area, and this is not clearly mentioned in the listing. I hadn’t researched enough and ended up having to trek from the main road, cross a river bridge, and climb a lot of stairs with luggage, which was extremely inconvenient.
The cleanliness was poor. The beds were dirty, the room was untidy, and there was garbage left inside the room, clearly not cleaned before check-in. We even noticed rats in the room, which was unacceptable.
The common areas were also neglected—breakfast plates left on the terrace from Day 1 were still there on Day 2, showing a complete lack of housekeeping.
There was no vibe at all, and overall the hostel felt poorly managed and unhygienic.
The only positive was that the property is surrounded by a river, which adds natural beauty—but that alone does not make up for the experience.
Would not recommend this hostel, especially if cleanliness, accessibility, and comfort matter to you.
We had wonderful time. Nice place for young people. You can be you . That is the ultimate thing. You can spend time with other travellers. Open space to know new people. Love it.
