Moustache Varanasi

If you're looking for a good night’s sleep, this may not be the place for you. I booked a 10-bed dorm but was given a 14-bed room, which was already overcrowded. There are only a few toilets for the number of people staying here, which often leads to long waits. While the staff makes an effort to keep them clean, it’s tough with so many guests constantly using them. The biggest issue for me was the lack of respect from other guests mostly local tourists. People were making phone calls at 3 AM, speaking loudly late into the night, and repeatedly turning the lights on and off very late at night. There’s little to no common sense or hostel etiquette, which made it very hard to rest. One odd thing: you’ll see people sleeping in the common areas at all hours specially at night, and morning. That said, the room and toilets were kept clean, and the location near Assi Ghat is great but a bit far from the main area. The staff was helpful when approached and friendly! Always helping and answering questions. Overall, not the best experience if you value peace and rest, but it has some redeeming points like cleanliness, staff support, and location

10/5 experience! The guys at the front desk were as nice and helpful as can be. I had many questions and needed help with translating over the phone with another hotel and they helped me no problem. The rooms themselves are nice and clean with good A/C and a fan in each bed. The food was great and good price. They have lots of information to help make your stay in Varanasi an easy and good one. Don’t hesitate to book here. Thanks again everyone at Mustache Hostel!

We stayed at moustache hostel for 5 days and had a wonderful experience. The people around and staff are so friendly,kind and welcoming. The vibe of common area is superb. Loved the food. Overall had the best experience. Best place for solo travellers. Definitely gonna visit again♥️

I recently stayed in the dormitory at Moustache Hostel and had a wonderful experience. The beds were clean and comfortable, with personal charging points and lockers which made the stay very convenient. The atmosphere was vibrant and social — it was easy to meet fellow travelers from around the world. The staff was polite, helpful, and always available to assist with anything I needed. The common areas were cozy and perfect for relaxing or hanging out. Overall, it’s a great place for budget travelers who want comfort, cleanliness, and a friendly vibe. Highly recommended!

I had an amazing stay in Mustache hostel! It's a very wholesome place with amazing service. Especially Sunil is a very kind and welcoming manager. It is honestly the best place to relax and to be close to important places in Varanasi like Assi Ghat. Thanks to the whole team!! It's also good for solo travelers to meet new people.
