Mustache Jaisalmer — more than just a place to stay. Some places give you a room, a bed, and a good view. Mustache Jaisalmer gives you something much more meaningful — a feeling of home. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere feels warm, peaceful, and personal. The staff are genuinely kind and welcoming, and what I loved most was how they actually take the time to talk to you. Even the owner doesn’t feel like someone running a property — he’ll sit with you, have a conversation, listen to your stories, and talk about life, travel, dreams, and all those deeper things you normally don’t expect to discuss at a hostel. That’s what makes this place special. You don’t just check in here… you become a part of the place for a little while. And if you’re in Jaisalmer, their desert safari is an absolute must. The experience felt authentic, peaceful, and beautifully organised — especially if you want to experience the desert beyond the usual tourist rush. One of the best desert experiences I’ve had. I came here looking for a place to stay, but I left with memories, conversations, and a feeling that I had found a little home in Jaisalmer. Mustache Jaisalmer isn’t just a stay. It’s the kind of place you remember long after you leave. ❤️

Moustache, in Jaisalmer, is a charming hotel located a fifteen-minute walk from Jaisalmer Fort. I visited this establishment in October 2024. It's a great choice, as the hotel offers everything you need at a very affordable price, especially for backpackers. In the evening, you can enjoy the view from the rooftop while having dinner. Moustache also offers desert safaris, with a night spent camping under the stars. It's absolutely perfect, as there's nothing to organize yourself: Moustache takes care of everything. The safari was excellent, and I'll keep a very fond memory of this place.

I stayed in a 6 bed dorm. Terrace, garden and everything around was fine. The room itself was okay. It was obviously not as beautiful as the entrance area which I also expected. I was not so happy about the bathroom attached to the room. It was located at the end of the room and had neither a window nor ventilation. The room itself was also not ideally ventilated, as it was equipped only with a fan above the door pumping the air more or less in a circle. Additional to that the sink in the bathroom was elevated. Both together, this resulted into a bad smell an permanent water on the floor of the bathroom. Also there was no option to put someones stuff on while e.g. taking a shower. For the price I would have expected something better. Also it was one of the most expensive hostels, which totally didn't justify the quality of the space provided.

We had the worst experience in terms of safety here. We chose a female dorm for our stay. We did not lock the door at night because there were other ladies in the dorm. I woke up startled from my sleep in the middle of the night only to see the male staff standing right behind me. Me and my friend were scared out of our minds. He said that he was showing the other girl the switch for the light, which was apparently right beside my head. All this was done very stealthily and I don't believe one word that he said. It still scares me to think what might have happened if I hadn't woken up then and made the noise. Even though male staff is not supposed to enter the female dorm, that too at such ungodly hours and without informing us, he was justifying his behaviour. The attitude from the staff was very unprofessional. We had to cut the rest of our trip short because of this incident. Apart from the entrance and the courtyard, the property has nothing special to be paying high prices.

Had a lovely stay at the location, which is absolutely at the perfect location, right at the foot of the golden fort. The staff was really helpful, in all ways, helping me plan my time in Jaisalmer, suggesting places, also very helpful in other ways, specially Abhishek and Soumesh, even helped me figure out stay at Sam, and transport and everything. There used to be a bonfire every night. The rooms were clean, and had everything needed.
