Had such a wonderful experience at Mustach Daman. The hostel has a super chill vibe, clean rooms, cozy common areas, and it’s perfect for solo travelers as well as groups. Everything was well maintained and felt safe and comfortable. A special shoutout to the host and dost patrick truly the heart of this place! He is extremely friendly, helpful, and made everyone feel instantly at home. From suggesting local spots to just having great conversations, he went above and beyond to make the stay memorable. It honestly didn’t feel like staying at a hostel, but more like staying with friends. If you’re coming to Daman and looking for good vibes, great people, and a memorable stay Mustach Daman is the place to be. Highly recommended, and I’d definitely love to come back!
My stay at Moustache Hostel Daman was truly beyond my expectations and easily one of the most memorable parts of my Daman trip. From the moment I walked in, I felt that this wasn’t just another hostel, it was an experience thoughtfully rooted in history, comfort, and community. What immediately stood out was the Portuguese architecture. The hostel is housed in a heritage building dating back to 1918, and the way it has been preserved and adapted is simply beautiful. The old-world charm, high ceilings, colonial-era design elements, and carefully restored spaces give the place a soul of its own. Staying here genuinely felt like living inside history, rather than just observing it from the outside. Beyond the structure, what truly made the stay special was the people. I ended up making many wonderful friends from different places, and the common areas naturally encourage conversations, laughter, and shared experiences. There’s an easy, warm vibe that makes it effortless to connect whether over morning tea, late-night chats, or planning explorations around Daman. The staff deserves special appreciation. Everyone was friendly, approachable, and always willing to help with a smile, which adds immensely to the overall comfort of the stay. A special kudos to Chatur, who went out of his way to help me with my laundry, something that might seem small, but when done with such genuine helpfulness, it really makes a difference and stays with you. Overall, Moustache Hostel Daman strikes a rare balance between heritage, hospitality, and hostel culture. It’s a place where history meets warmth, and strangers quickly turn into friends. I walked in with normal expectations and walked out with great memories, meaningful conversations, and a deep appreciation for this beautifully restored space. Highly recommended for anyone who wants more than just a place to sleep while in Daman.
For the first night, we booked a dorm for two adults at ₹1,756. For the next two nights, we booked a Superior King Room with a balcony at ₹2,831 per night. The property offers different room options and described the balcony room as very luxurious. However, the view from the balcony faced a residential building, which was a bit disappointing. Apart from that, the property was good. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The location is excellent — very close to Devka Beach. They have a café called Khidki Café. The food was tasty but slightly expensive. They also offer a kitchen option where you can get breakfast, lunch, and dinner at pocket-friendly prices. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and a good experience.
I had an amazing stay at Moustache Daman! The staff were exceptionally friendly, polite, and always ready to help with a smile. The overall atmosphere was very warm and welcoming — perfect for solo travelers and groups alike. What really stood out was the vibe of the place — relaxed, energetic, and truly social. The owner himself joined us for a fun evening of card games, which made the experience feel even more personal and memorable. I also met some great people during my stay and ended up making genuine friends. The hostel offers a comfortable and carefree environment that perfectly suits young travelers looking to unwind and enjoy Daman’s laid-back charm. Definitely a place I’d love to return to!
Best place to stay in Daman if you're travelling with friends. We enjoyed a lot, hands down the most happening place in Daman. Adil bhai was a great host we enjoyed his company. Staff over there is also supportive. This place is heaven for you if you're an extrovert you'll meet stranger who feels like homie.
