Madpackers Rishikesh LJ

Like any accommodation decision, one has to consider is the value of my money worth the access to expected amenities, services and comfort. For what we were paying, and knowing what is available for a few more euros in the area, than the accommodation, in my opinion, it is not worth it. My review is purely based on building /room maintenance and comfort. The staff were very lovely, young and energetic. However the room was not well maintained, walls were damp, there was a musky smell, tap was leaking and there was no soundproofing so one could hear absolutely everything around them. The TV in the common room, which is a shared space for everyone to enjoy was exceptionally loud and if you wanted to work , chill or just chat, you couldn’t do so over the loud show. All this would have been somewhat manageable but on the last evening before I decided to leave, I had strange people knock on my door at 2:30am. Which was the breaking point in my decision to leave. I’m in my 30’s and have become more inclined towards peaceful and well-maintained rooms that feel clean and fresh. If I were in my 20’s , and passing through Rishikesh for a day or two this accommodation would be fair, but for my nearly one week stay, it just wasn’t enjoyable.

Had an amazing stay at this hostel in Rishikesh! The vibes were absolutely superb — full of energy, chill, and positivity. The staff was seriously incredible, always helpful and super friendly. Cleanliness was totally up to the mark, everything was well-maintained and neat. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a great time in Rishikesh

Madpackers Hostel is hands down one of the best hostels I've stayed at. The atmosphere is super chill and welcoming—perfect for solo travelers, backpackers, or anyone looking to connect with like-minded people from around the world. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to help, whether it's recommending local food joints, helping with travel plans, or just hanging out. The rooms and dorms are clean, well-maintained, and secure. The beds are comfortable, and each one has its own charging point and privacy curtain, which is a big plus. The common areas are the real highlight—cozy lounges, rooftop hangouts, and sometimes even events or movie nights that make it easy to socialize.

Madpackers Rishikesh will always hold a special place in my heart. I came here not just looking for a place to stay, but also for some peace, and I found both. The first thing I noticed was how warm and welcoming the staff were—they didn’t treat me like a guest, but like a friend. The dorms were clean and comfortable, but what I loved most was the vibe in the common areas. I met people from different parts of the world, shared meals, laughed over random conversations, and even explored the city with new friends. The rooftop became my favorite spot—watching the sunset over the hills while sipping chai felt magical. Madpackers Rishikesh is more than just a hostel. It’s the kind of place where you arrive as a traveler and leave as family. I’ll definitely be coming back.
