If you're coming to Goa and you want more than just a bed — you want a vibe — Madpackers Goa is exactly that place. I stayed there recently and honestly, this hostel has spoiled me for every other stay. First thing: the people. The staff genuinely feel like friends. Ronit deserves a special mention — super chill guy but also always alert if any guest needs help. You ask something once, and he takes care of it like it’s the most important thing in the world. And Zaya is literally the soul of the community here — she somehow makes everyone talk, laugh, play games, join events… even if you came planning to “stay quiet,” good luck with that. 😂 The vibe here is unmatched — there’s always something happening: sunset outings, karaoke nights, beer pong, late-night stories in the common area. But at the same time, there are peaceful corners where you can just sit with your book or laptop and chill. A perfect balance. Let’s talk about cleanliness — hostel travelers know how rare it is to find a place that actually keeps things clean consistently. Here, rooms, washrooms, and common spaces are spotless throughout the day. Housekeeping really does a solid job. The bar and food area are THE hangout spots. Great music, good food for a hostel (don’t expect 5-star plating but expect taste that keeps you ordering again). Drinks are reasonably priced — which is a blessing in Goa 😂. Breakfast was simple but fresh. And I loved that they serve food till late because in Goa hunger strikes at the most random hours! Location-wise — perfect. Close enough to the beach and cafes but tucked in just enough to avoid the chaos. You get both: convenience and calm. What I genuinely loved the most is how quickly strangers become friends here. You come alone, and next morning you already have a group planning the whole day with you. That’s the Madpackers energy.
We stayed at Madpackers Goa for a day. The property is conveniently located near Baga, just a couple of kilometers away, and offers ample internal parking — a big plus for those driving in. However, the overall hostel vibe was quite dull, especially for a Friday. I expected a more lively and social atmosphere with music and crowd, but it was relatively quiet. We booked a private room located in a separate building across the road from the main hostel. The setup was fine and comfortable, though cleanliness could definitely be improved — especially the bathroom tiles, which weren’t very clean. Overall, it’s a convenient stay with good parking and decent rooms, but if you’re looking for that energetic hostel vibe, it might feel a bit underwhelming.
Was a good stay, the host were nice and cooperative. Even the hostel was pretty good, just that the other roommates didn’t have restroom manners and therefore a lot of pungent smell remained there.. but yk hostel!! Can’t complain much.
I booked a room for 5 days here (ended up extending it a few more days). The service is great. The staff (Ronit, Shreya, Chesh, Guinness, Zaya, and Anas) are kind and very helpful. The bar, the music, common area are pretty good. Generally they vibe is really good. Just have in mind that if you are tall, the bed would be a bit tight.
Absolutely loved my stay here! The property has such a warm and inviting atmosphere. The vibe is amazing — peaceful yet vibrant in its own way. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. A perfect getaway for anyone looking to relax and unwind.
