When I first stepped in, I had no idea I would be leaving with so many unforgettable memories and people I now consider family. The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming that I ended up extending my stay for an entire month. From the very first day, it felt like I had known everyone for years. The staff were absolutely amazing and treated me like one of their own. A special mention to the incredible host, Aman. He truly became like a brother during my stay. Always approachable, always ready to help, and just a phone call away whenever I needed anything. He went out of his way to make sure I, and everyone else, felt comfortable and at home. The vibe of the place, the community feel, and the small thoughtful gestures made all the difference. It’s rare to find a place that feels this genuine and connected. Kudos to Madpackers for building such a wonderful team and environment. I’m definitely coming back again.
Staying at Madpackers Bir was the perfect way to experience Bir. The vibe is warm and relaxed — peaceful when you want to slow down and social when you feel like connecting. Mornings start with chai and fresh mountain air, while evenings often turn into music, conversations, and easy friendships. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the common areas feel alive, and the staff are genuinely kind and caring. It’s one of those places where time slows down and plans change because you don’t feel like leaving. The service was excellent. We also went paragliding with Shadow Bhai, an expert pilot, and it was a smooth, safe, and unforgettable experience — truly a highlight of the trip.
Stayed at Madpackers Bir and honestly, it felt like the right place to experience Bir properly. The hostel has this easy, welcoming vibe — calm when you want peace, social when you feel like talking. Mornings start slow with chai and mountain air, and nights usually end with long conversations, music, and people you didn’t know but somehow feel familiar with. The rooms are clean and comfortable, common areas are where everything happens, and the staff are genuinely warm — not hostel-formal, just good people who care. It’s one of those stays where days blend nicely and plans change because you don’t feel like leaving.
I am extremely disappointed with the quality of service and room conditions provided, especially considering the high amount paid (₹7,500 per night). The issues faced are as follows: 1. Unclean Room Condition The walls of the room were visibly dirty and poorly maintained. This is unacceptable for a room in this price range and does not match the standards advertised. 2. No Towels at Check-in There were no towels provided in the room at check-in. When we requested towels, we were informed that none were available until the evening. This left us unable to freshen up after travel, which is a basic hospitality expectation. 3. No Toiletries or Basic Amenities The room had no toiletries, and there was no water bottle or any basic essentials provided. Again, this is extremely disappointing for a premium family suite. Overall, the experience fell far below expectations and did not justify the amount charged. I chose Madpackers expecting a comfortable and hassle-free stay, but instead faced inconvenience and poor service.
It was a great experience at madpackers, the crowd is good and it is near to the main market. All the famous cafes are nearby. They provide bonfire at night. The staff is highly professional and cooperative. They help you arrange the paragliding as well as local sightseeing. Overall it was a good experience.
