I stayed at Louis Backpackers in Kochi as a solo female traveller. The hostel has a safe, warm and friendly atmosphere. It has an AC dorm and the washroom is super clean. The Wi-Fi is strong and reliable, making it perfect for a workation. The location is beautiful, right by the backwaters, which adds a calm and peaceful vibe to the stay. The owner Rishab is very helpful and welcoming and makes sure the hostel feels like home. I would highly recommend travellers to stay in this hostel.

Louis Backpackers Hostel is a hidden gem for travellers who want to stay close to nature without compromising on comfort. I found this place during a corporate trip to Kochi, Kerala while searching for a peaceful, nature-centric stay, and it exceeded expectations. Located around 6 km from Fort Kochi, the hostel offers calm backwater views and a relaxed environment away from traffic and noise. Even though it’s on the outskirts, Swiggy and Zomato online food delivery are available, which makes the stay very convenient. The crowd here is high-standard, respectful, and well-travelled. It’s perfect for nature lovers, solo travellers, and people who enjoy a chill, social atmosphere. Fishing can also be done here, adding to the unique experience. The owner, Rishab, is very helpful and a chill person who ensures guests feel comfortable. Booking can be done either by contacting the owner directly or through online platforms, both being smooth and hassle-free. Facilities include clean and hygienic washrooms, chilled AC, high-speed internet (great for remote work), a washing machine, and a small pantry for making tea or coffee. A barbecue setup is also available for relaxed evenings. The hostel feels safe and welcoming and is highly recommended for solo travellers, including solo female travellers.

I booked this hostel for New Year’s 2026 because no other places were available, so I honestly went in with zero expectations. But it turned out to be the best part of my entire trip. Host Rishab took care of everything I needed and made sure everyone felt included. He even organized a New Year’s party for all the hostel mates. None of us felt the need to go out to pubs or the city. We had all the fun right there. I made so many memories and so many new friends. Truly good days. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the common areas were perfect for meeting fellow travelers. The owner is super chill and incredibly friendly, which really adds to the relaxed, home-away-from-home vibe. The staff were always helpful and full of great local tips. The location was ideal for exploring the city, and overall it was excellent value for money. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

Mophi the care taker is really helpful and friendly. He will catch fresh fish in the morning and will bbq it for dinner for guests, real good back water experience. The location is perfectly away from the city noise and traffic, very chill and calm location.
