Worth the price ! The location is top notch with being right next to the station and close to the airport too. The staff and the receptionist were very humble and helpful all the time. The rooms are clean. Washrooms are clean and well maintained. The rooftop is the place you keep on going because just how chill and relaxed do you feel. The rooms have digital locks too so safe that way. The property doesn’t have a lift and is on 2nd floor so keep that in check.
Overall Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) My Experience: I stayed at Locomo Hostel, Vile Parle recently. The people and staff here were friendly and welcoming, which made the environment positive. However, the overall stay was disappointing for the price charged. --- ⭐ Aspect Ratings Staff & People: ★★★★☆ (4/5) Good crowd, friendly atmosphere, and staff were polite. Dormitory Setup: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) The dorm beds were completely open with no privacy at all. At the very least, curtains should be provided around each bed for a comfortable hostel experience. Pricing / Value: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) For the facilities offered, the rates are very high compared to other hostels in Mumbai. Not value-for-money. Security: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) No real sense of security provided for personal belongings, which is a major concern for hostel guests. --- 🔧 Suggestions for Improvement 1. Add privacy curtains for dormitory beds to improve comfort. 2. Provide lockers and better security arrangements for guests’ belongings. 3. Reconsider pricing to match the actual facilities and services offered. --- Final Note: While the people and vibe were good, the lack of privacy, high rates, and weak security make this hostel hard to recommend. With a few improvements, Locomo could be a much better choice for travelers. Update : ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) Impressed by Their Personal Touch & Positive Attitude 🙌 I had shared some feedback earlier based on my observations — and to my surprise, they personally called me to discuss it. That gesture really stood out! It made me feel heard and valued as a potential guest, which is rare these days. Their team was polite, open to suggestions, and genuinely eager to improve the guest experience. They explained the steps they’re already taking to enhance privacy, security, and overall comfort. This proactive and respectful approach speaks volumes about their commitment to guests. I’m genuinely looking forward to experiencing their hospitality in person soon. 🌿✨
I loved my stay at Locomo og. I stayed in a sharing dorm of 4-6 beds. The hostel was clean, the Hosts were super sweet. I want to mention them all, Umera, Raju, Rohan. They were all very helping and kind. And all the basic amenities were available at the hostel too. The location was also pretty fine. Had airport and other attractions nearby. I'm definitely staying in the same hostel once I go back to Mumbai :) The terrace area had my heart.
I found this hostel to be a great place in terms of location and amenities. Being in front of Vile Parle station adds as a bonus for those who would be traveling around this bustling city, it's definitely the fastest way to reach places. Next is the rooms and designs. I found the places to be quite quirky and definitely provided good services to the guests staying there. My only issue was the side board that is attached into the wall beside every bed is wrongly placed according to me because it was in close proximity to my knees that were constantly getting hit by it. Secondly i also saw that the individual night lights that most hostels have attached, were missing over here in random rooms. Being able to communicate with a few good people in different rooms, I got to know that those bedside lamps are missing in some beds randomly. The management better check these basic issues. Overall, it's been a great stay, plus the people in the reception have been really kind.
For the price this hostel was not worth it at all. The location is good for access to the airport but it’s a long way out from the city so that’s something to be aware of (but not a criticism). The staff were not very responsive or friendly in general. They were not rude but it felt like it was an inconvenience to them when we spoke to them. The rooms are very old and run down, they are cleaned regularly but the chemical used in the bathrooms are very strong and left the entire room smelling like chemicals - it was so strong it gave us a headache, it’s not an exaggeration! The food was very very disappointing. Considering all this, the price was more in line with what I’d expect to pay for a hotel or a much more luxurious hotel, hence the 1 star
