has one of the best common areas of any hostel I've stayed at in Mumbai — a spacious rooftop with great views, an AC workspace, and a laptop-friendly open area. Location is excellent, close to the railway station with a lively market right outside. However, the private room lacks a fridge and the overall room quality could be better for the price point. Despite the impressive rooftop, the social vibe was quiet during my stay — people were mostly minding their own business with no natural convergence point to bring guests together.
Had an awesome stay at Locomo Hostel OG Mumbai! 🔥 Super fun, chill party vibe and really good energy all around. The staff were amazing—big shoutout to the three at reception (2 girls & 1 guy), all super friendly and helpful. Beds were comfy, service was smooth, and I had a great time meeting people and hanging out. If you’re looking for a social, fun place in Mumbai, this is it! Would definitely come back 🙌
I stayed at this hostel recently and it was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend it to anyone. The dorms were unbearably smelly and the bathrooms were untidy and poorly maintained. Basic hygiene seemed neglected. The advertised social atmosphere was non-existent. There were no events or communal activities, so the main reason to choose a hostel “meeting other travelers” simply didn’t happen. Facilities were lacking. The restaurant was closed during my stay, and there was no access to basic hot drinks like tea or coffee. Staff were unprofessional and unhelpful: guests weren’t given control over room temperature, requests were ignored, and communication felt dismissive. The building has no elevator while the hostel is on the second floor, which is a serious inconvenience if you have heavy luggage. Overall the property felt poorly managed and not guest-focused. If you value cleanliness, functioning facilities, a social atmosphere, and helpful staff, look elsewhere. This place needs major improvements before I’d ever consider returning.
One of the best hostel within the budget in Vile parle, I had a great experience with Locomo hostel, rooms and washrooms are clean well maintained. Breakfast is nice and good quality which is included in the room rent. Thank you Siddhesh for smooth checkin and checkout, Nice behavior appreciated.
LOCOMO is so far the best place I have stayed in for 2 days. As, its very to close to Vile Parle (E) station, is makes travelling easier in Mumbai. The staff is very welcoming and friendly, so you dont have to worry about anything (24x7 available). The hostel vibe is very positive, the space is really good, specially the terrace. If you like socializing you will meet a lot amazing people here from all spaces. You might even end up making friends here :)
