Honestly, possibly one of the best properties in the entirety of Rishikesh. The location is excellent, the view from the cafe is amazing and so is the vibe. Met tons of solo travellers here on the weekend, partied with them as well right on the rooftop with the weekend nights they organise. The dorms are clean and tidy with curtains and wooden beds. Most of the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful, Vikram, Aman, Vishal just to name a few. The only complaint I have is that cafe takes forever to make your food. Tip : Get the 10-Bed Ganga View Dorm for an absolutely amazing and quiet view of the ganga right from your dorm. Or, get the 14-Bed dorm to get that really large dorm with the signature moon ceiling which is present in the first picture. Rest of the dorms are pretty average in other ways. Also, in case it was not obvious, this is not at all a family-friendly place. But an absolute blast if you're solo or with friends. Also, they don't allow alcohol consumption on property in front of others ;)
This place is an absolute delight; truly a home away from home. We stayed here for five days and had an amazing experience throughout. The hosts, Diksha, Vikram, Vasu, and Aman, were incredibly warm, friendly, and always ready to help. The view from the property is breathtaking, and the vibe is equally wonderful. You meet people from all walks of life, and the common areas create the perfect setting for meaningful conversations, fun games, and a genuine sense of community. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, warmth, and unforgettable memories.
Everything was good, staff was very helpful and calm, housekeeping team and front desk people were so nice. Thanks for everything. Tips for people booking the stay- Don’t book Ganga view dorm for full duration, because you will get the view from terrace where you will be all time and you get used to that view. So you can also go for cheaper non view dorms.
Great social hostel with views over the holy river, very close to anything you'll need in Laxman while still not being too crowdy or noisy. Some of the dormrooms had views on the Ganga from the bed, I'd wish for curtains on those beds because at 6am you'd wake up already from the bright light. Hostel organizes parties on the roof on weekends, good food upstairs, private shower and separate toilet. Amazing experience thanks to the team at Joey's!
