Fully recommendable. I had such a great time. The people running the hostel are so caring and chill at the same time. Stayed in the female dorm. There was enough space for the luggage, so it did not feel to packed altough all beds were in use. In general the atmosphere is really nice. I could see the love they put in this place. So grateful. Hope to see these people again.
Aphi and the owner are the best people! Super helpful for sorting anything out like surf lessons, food recommendations and transport. They made our stay super memorable and enjoyable. The overall vibe of the hostel is very social family vibes which made for a lovely stay. The roof top is great for yoga in the morning and the location is perfect. I will return
Aphi is the most amazing guy. He's incredibly welcoming, friendly and eager to help. The rooms are nice and the social area is amazing. The only thing that could make it better is a pool table and a constant flow of beer.
At one point I got an injury and Aphi paid for an auto back to the hostel, cleaned the wound and patched it. He also helped me get to a hospital and has been amazing my entire stay.
I was supposed to stay for 3 days but extended for a week! Every time I go to Varkala I will be staying here.
We stayed in a private room for 5 days. We had a great stay and can definetly recommend this hostel. They make a big effort in creating an inclusive environment, and in making affordable activities outside of the hostel. Abhi is a big part of why this hostel is great! He is very helpful, welcoming and also makes a great breakfast! Stay at hostelexp if you go to varkala!
Had a really good experience at HostelExp. There are activities planned every day from the hostel like kayaking, parties and others. I highly recommend joining these activities.
The staff here is very friendly. They helped me with contacts for surf classes and renting a scooter. I got them at the best deals.
The place is also very near to the north cliff.
