The Exp hostel is more than a hostel, it's an adventure to live! Surrounded by greenery, this place is perfect to recharge your batteries as calm as well as to meet beautiful people. It's a little far from the center and shops to go on foot but by renting a scooter or a bike, it works very well! The hostel is warm, friendly, colorful and the welcome is really at the top! Wonderful meetings, incredible moments spent with the community, laughter, discussions and games are at the rendezvous! It can be hot in the dormitories... Fortunately, the beach is close to cool off! So if you also love nature, encounters, creativity and a sense of sharing, this place is for you! Thank you very much for EVERYTHING! 🌿🌞🌿

An Honest Review from Someone Who Stayed Here Over a Week 🤷‍♂️🌴🤔 I booked HostelExp for just one night but ended up staying over a week. It’s one of those places that’s easy to settle into—comfortable, quiet, and thoughtfully run 🌿🛖. The yoga shala was a real highlight 🌳🧘‍♂️. It’s clean, peaceful, and felt like a great place to start each day. The whole property is well-maintained, and you can tell there’s real care behind the scenes. Everything from the rooms to the common spaces had a calm, intentional vibe 🍃. What I appreciated most was the balance between community and personal space 🍂🪷. There were always friendly people around, but it never felt busy or overwhelming. I could join in or take time for myself, and both felt equally supported. Nitish was really helpful before I even arrived, sending clear directions and making the whole process simple 🛤️. Once I got there, he made sure I felt welcome. Lucky, who helps take care of the space, was kind and friendly too 🌼🙂. For what’s offered, the price is very fair 🍀. If you’re heading to Auroville and looking for a quiet, conscious place to stay, HostelExp is a great choice. I’d definitely come back 🌺✨.

great place management and still upgrading and making it even better, walking distance from Aeroville, can rent vehicles at low prices. Managing team is very friendly and helpful, specially the Manager Nitish, works very hard. It was my first solo trip that too in south India, but he took care of me like an elder brother. helped me socialize

Misleading positive reviews! Cons: No fans or AC in dorms – extremely hot at night with mosquitoes. 2 km off-road walk after 3.5 km from the nearest bus stop – not ideal without a bike. Toilet flush leaks heavily. Pros: Peaceful, well-maintained exterior. Overall: Without the basics in place . It's as good as just sitting in a fancy place with broken basic amenities Hope the owner takes this positively
