Our guide Saurav was also very helpful, friendly, and supportive throughout the trek. He guided us properly and made sure everyone was comfortable and safe. I had an awesome experience with this company while doing the Sar Pass trek. Everything was well organised. The camp sites had good food and cozy tents. The guides with us (Gopi and Bhupendra) did a really good job guiding us through the trek. They were very helpful. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants to do Sar Pass trek.

We booked the Sar Pass Trek package with Himtrek, and it turned out to be one of the most mesmerizing experiences we've ever had. Even though we trekked during the off-season, it made the journey even more magical. Himtrek was the last trekking company to head through Sar Pass, so we had the rare privilege of experiencing the mountains in complete peace and quiet. It truly felt like walking through a real-life Windows XP wallpaper, with endless lush green meadows, majestic mountains, tiny wildflowers blooming everywhere, and just enough snow to make it feel magical. The off-season also allowed us to experience places like Min Thach and Nagaru, along with the stunning Sar Lake, in their many moods. The mountains treated us to sunshine, rain, hailstones, and changing skies—all in a single trek. Watching nature transform every few hours was an unforgettable experience. A heartfelt thank you to our guides, Gopal Ji and Anshil. Their experience, knowledge, and calm presence made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the trek. They patiently taught us how to understand mountain weather, shared practical trekking techniques that made the climbs much easier, and always ensured everyone was trekking at their own comfortable pace. There was never any pressure to rush, which made the journey so much more enjoyable. The food served during the trek and at the campsites was also far better than we had expected—fresh, filling, and exactly what you need after a long day in the mountains. We're so glad we chose Himtrek for our Sar Pass adventure, our first trek. You can genuinely see the effort they put into making every trek memorable, comfortable, and magical for their guests. Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience with Himtrek I had one of the worst trekking experiences with Himtrek, and I strongly advise others to think twice before booking with them. Firstly, there was absolutely no sense of timing or coordination. We were told the trek would start at 10 AM, but even by 11:30 AM there was no proper movement from their side. Due to their delay and mismanagement, we were forced to start the trek without a guide, which is completely unacceptable and unsafe. Secondly, there was no itinerary shared at all. We reached the top exhausted and hungry, only to be told that dinner would be served at 9 PM. This is basic information that should have been communicated in advance so we could plan accordingly. Instead, we were asked to arrange and pay for our own food despite already paying ₹1050 per person. Shockingly, the same camping was available for around ₹500 elsewhere, yet we were charged more for extremely poor service. The mismanagement didn’t stop there. Breakfast was served at 9 AM the next day, which is ridiculous considering the trek duration is around 6 hours. Breakfast should have been arranged by 7 AM so people could start their descent on time. This clearly shows a lack of understanding and professionalism. Because of their poor planning, we ended up spending additional money on food for both dinner and breakfast, costing us another ₹500 per person. So not only did we overpay initially, but we were also forced to incur extra expenses due to their incompetence. Overall, Himtrek seems to act only as a mediator. Once they collect the money, they disappear. There is no support, no coordination, and no accountability. On top of that, there is no network during the trek, so you’re completely on your own if anything goes wrong. I would strongly not recommend Himtrek to anyone. This was a frustrating, poorly managed, and unsafe experience.
