My first solo travel experience became truly memorable at Happy Panda Hostel. The vibe of the hostel is very friendly, positive, and welcoming. The owner Kartik is my college friend from our engineering days, and I’m really proud to see how well he is managing this place. He is humble, supportive, and makes sure every guest feels comfortable. Saurabh is also a very good and helpful person who adds to the amazing atmosphere of the hostel. Rooms were clean, well-maintained, and the common area is perfect for meeting new people. I made great memories during my stay. Highly recommended for solo travelers looking for a safe and fun place to stay! 🐼✨
I had an incredible experience here and cannot recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived, I felt less like a guest and more like part of the family. The vibe here is truly unmatched. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure everyone is comfortable—special shout-out to Amberi, who genuinely embodies the "Happy Panda" energy of the hostel! But what truly sets this place apart are the hosts, Sourabh and Kartik bhai. Their passion for hospitality is evident in every detail; they are incredibly welcoming, full of local insight, and genuinely care about every single guest's experience. The food, the vibe everything is amazing here. Pro tip: If you’re looking for something truly special, take an offbeat recommendation from Kartik bhai. Follow his advice blindly—he has an incredible knack for finding those hidden gems you won’t find in any guidebook, and you won’t regret it! I’m already looking forward to my next trip back.
Read the review later, book the hostel first, because it’s always full and you’ll miss one of the best hostels in Goa (and that too a budget hostel). I planned for 3 days but extended for 2 more because the place is awesome. The vibe is amazing, I met so many great people, and the crowd is really good, which is one of the most important things in a hostel. Food is great and service is excellent. Kartik and Sourav are incredible hosts - polite, helpful, respectful, basically everything you could ask for. And Kartik is my man, I love that guy. I rode to Goa on my bike and he suggested offbeat places that I’m sure 99% of riders never visit - that made my trip even better. I wanted to extend even more and could’ve stayed here for weeks, but work didn’t allow it. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough. Don’t think, just book it.
I am travelling solo for the last 5 years and I have stayed in hostels in India and outside as well. I will stay this small cute hostel with an amazing common area and the bar which has the right balance of socialising and work , the community is amazing and they have took care of every small details possible this is the cleanest hostel that I have ever seen . Host Kartik and Sourav has taken care of every small thing possible. By far they have the best hostel food in there cafe at hostel. And after my last 5 years of experience in Goa happy panda is one of the best hostel in Goa .
I had an amazing stay at Happy Panda Hostel and honestly couldn’t have asked for more. The hosts were absolutely wonderful — present every day, caring, and genuinely invested in making everyone feel welcome. What I loved most was the social atmosphere. There were fun social games every evening, which made it incredibly easy to meet people and connect. At the same time, the hostel has a beautifully relaxed, quiet area with small sofas, perfect for more chilled or introspective days. That balance was really special. The food was amazing — truly some of the best I had during my stay. Everything was clean and well taken care of: bathrooms, bedsheets, rooms — all spotless. For me, Happy Panda became kind of a social home base, my little socializing center for many days. I felt comfortable, supported, and happy there. I’m extremely grateful for the experience and would 100% stay again.
