Nice and quiet hostel. Perfect for workation. Only drawback is that they allow large groups and if you are a solo traveler, then it is hard to group together to explore the place with new people. On my stay days, there were two large groups staying at the hostel and I was the only solo traveller. Otherwise no complaints. Location is perfect, right in middle of the fields and you will have bir take off site in the backdrop. If you are a dog lover, they have a friendly dog tappu to enjoy with. I met a hostel volunteer at the flashpackers - Sanskriti, very helpful and thanks to her I manage to make some friends and had some chill time during my stay.
Flashpackers is honestly one of the best hostels in Bir-it truly feels like a home away from home. The vibe, the people, and the environment make it really hard to leave. A huge part of that experience was because of Sanskriti. Sanskriti was incredibly warm and welcoming from the very beginning. She went out of her way to make sure we felt comfortable, and thanks to Sanskriti, we genuinely felt like we belonged there. Sanskriti didn’t just help us settle in-she made sure we were having a great time every single day. From organizing fun activities to constantly checking in on us, Sanskriti put in so much effort to make our stay memorable. Her energy, kindness, and dedication really stood out, and it’s because of Sanskriti that the whole experience felt so special. Leaving this place was honestly an emotional moment. It wasn’t just about the location-it was the amazing people, the warm environment, and especially Sanskriti who made it all so unforgettable.
i really really lovedd this hostel. it was my fist time staying in a dorm set up and i was little bit skeptical but from the moment i reached there it completely changed my perspective. the first person i met there was Sanskriti, she was very welcoming and soo cooperative and helped us a lot. she made our 3 days stays in Bir more memorable. Huge thanks to her. all people who were working there was very kind and understanding. even the didi who comes to help with the tidying up the room and everything. overall 10/10 experience. and yes special mention to our four legged fur ball thappu🫶🏼
The whole place has a clean, cozy, and thoughtfully put-together vibe that instantly makes you feel relaxed and welcome. What really sets it apart, though, is the people. The staff is incredibly helpful, always ready with a smile or a suggestion, and the owner goes above and beyond to make sure every guest feels comfortable and taken care of. There’s a warmth here that you don’t find everywhere—it genuinely feels like you’re staying with friends rather than at a hostel. Whether you’re traveling solo or with company, Flashpackers creates the kind of atmosphere where you can unwind, connect, and just enjoy the beauty of Bir. Without a doubt, this would be my first choice every time I visit Bir. Highly recommended!
Flashpackers Bir was an absolute nightmare and easily one of the most pathetic places I’ve ever stayed at. Calling this “hospitality” would be laughable. The only thing they managed efficiently was taking full payment upfront, even before showing us the room — conveniently without disclosing any of the major shortcomings. There was no chef, no food, and no alternative arrangements whatsoever, something they never informed us about at the time of payment. In freezing peak-winter conditions, there was no hot water in the room. Despite repeated complaints, the staff couldn’t even be bothered to come and check the issue. Zero concern, zero accountability. When we escalated the matter to the host, his response was, “You should have come four days earlier” — as if guests are expected to plan their trips around their mismanagement. This dismissive and arrogant attitude says everything about how this place is run. To make matters worse, they refused to provide even a basic blanket while guests were shivering in the cold. Yet, they suddenly became punctual and “responsible” when it came to checkout — showing up at 11 a.m. to pressure us, claiming checkout was at 10 a.m., despite their complete absence when actual issues were raised. Flashpackers Bir is grossly mismanaged, unprofessional, and completely unfit to host travelers, especially in winter. It wastes your money, your time, and your trip. Avoid this place at all costs.
