Really enjoyed my stay here and sad to leave. I stayed in a private double room and it’s so spacious and bright. I could’ve spent all day there, reading and practicing yoga. The library is full of brilliant books, there’s access to a fridge and downstairs kitchen. This is a beautiful family-run place with small classical Indian music concerts happening most evenings. And since it’s off the main street, it’s relatively peaceful! As a single female solo traveller I felt very safe here :)
I had a truly lovely stay at Devi Music Ashram. The location is convenient, the nightly music concerts are a beautiful treat, and the peaceful atmosphere made me feel instantly at ease. My room was very spacious and comfortable, which added to the overall sense of relaxation. One of my favorite details was the inspiring quotes scattered throughout the space—from all kinds of sources. It felt like wisdom was gently guiding me at every corner. The rooftop terrace is also a highlight, offering a serene view that’s perfect for reflection. I’d definitely return!
I stayed for two weeks and loved it! The rooms are beautiful, spacious and clean. The rooms have chairs and desk-height tables too which is great! They have their own bore well for water supply which is amazing for showering without fearing infection lol. The owners are super friendly. Good vibes all around. Almost every day of the week some musical concert is going on. And you can have vocal and instrument lessons there as well. You can also have breakfast, lunch and dinner there for very cheap. Only downsides are there's currently construction work going on right outside the window of two rooms which make those rooms temporarily way too noisy. I had to move rooms cause I couldn't handle it. Other downside is that the warm water for shower ran out very quickly every time in the new room. That's very common in India though. It's also very difficult for a taxi to reach the front entrance so the luggage needs to be carried for 2 minutes. They were happy to help me with this though. Still a solid 5-star rating. Thank you Devi Music Ashram!
The Devi Music Ashram is a haven for artistic expression, with its vibrant colors and serene atmosphere providing the perfect backdrop for art and music to thrive. It's a place where creativity is limitless and the soul can find peace. Not only music, it was very pleased to read the thoughts written on the walls of his ashram, and at the same time the entire ashram is full of fresh flowers, and is wrapped with a variety of paintings on the walls My wife and I recently spent a couple of days at the Devi Music Ashram, and we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Devi singer , her sister Neeti Kumar (singer), brother Raj Ghosware Sagonakha (guitarist), and Professor Pramod Kumar uncle, all of whom displayed remarkable humility and politeness.
It’s a soothing place and centrally located for most sought after activities in Rishikesh. Kind staff and feels almost like home since the whole set up is not like typical hotel rooms. Caution: you will encounter monkeys here so be watchful
