I had a comfortable stay at Bibhitaki. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Palolem Beach. The rooms were clean, and the vibe of the hotel is very chill. There are many good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. However, if you’re someone who wants a TV in the room, you might be disappointed. The caretaker, Sandeep, is always available at the property and is very courteous. I really enjoyed my stay at Bibhitaki.
The Vibe: The atmosphere is social but respectful. They host great communal dinners and walking tours that make it incredibly easy to meet people, but they also enforce quiet hours so you can actually get some sleep. The Dorms: I was impressed by the "little things." Every bed had a personal reading light, a sturdy locker (that fit my entire 65L pack), and—most importantly—privacy curtains. The mattresses weren't those thin foam pads you usually find; they were actually comfortable. Cleanliness: Usually the "Achilles' heel" of hostels, but the staff here are relentless. The bathrooms were cleaned multiple times a day, and the kitchen was spotless.
I stayed at Bibhitaki Hostel, Palolem Goa, and overall, I’d rate the stay 3 stars — the place is decent and comfortable but could use a few improvements. However, I’m giving it 5 stars purely because of Vijay, the manager. He’s an incredible person — very engaging, full of amazing stories, and always ready to help. He can speak almost every language but loves to speak Hindi (and truly believes it’s the best!). Beyond managing the hostel, he shares great life advice that stays with you. Thanks to Vijay, my experience at Bibhitaki Hostel was unforgettable!
I had a great stay at this hostel! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff and owner were super friendly. The common area had a nice, relaxed vibe — perfect for meeting other travelers. Overall, a great balance of comfort, affordability, and atmosphere. Would definitely stay again!
I stayed in a female dorm. Dorm was very clean, Loy there is very helpful and great person- your go to person. Divya was volunteering, she is very friendly and engaging. They help you with anything you need. Friendly atmosphere and also great food at the cafe. Overall an amazing experience, surely returning back.
